Uhhm... performance?
Just a small question. The "old" version of the game is kinda laggy to me... around 20 - 30 FPS, in some regions 20 and below... is this kinda fixed in the definitive edition or not? Because i didn't plan to buy a new graphic card so soon due to lack of money but i still would love to play it pretty much NOW *excitement itensifies*... any ideas how to do it? Or maybe add a graphic change option... i know it's hard for a game where everything is hand drawn but uhh... plz :o

Because of the delay, we kept optimizing quite a bit - so it might be that you get good framerates now, but I can't promise you that. I just completed it on a Surface Pro 4 recently and it played just fine - And that thing doesn't even have a dedicated GPU :)

If you buy it and don't like the perf, you can always get a refund.

Nahh... those 5 bucks are nothing to me. The thing is a lot of 3D games such as Star conflict (i don't want to advertise!) run pretty smoothly (40 - 60 FPS, depending if anti-aliasing is activated), while ori runs pretty slowly. My PC doesn't have a dedicated GPU either, it's actually an allround PC, cost me 379€ (pretty cheap for a PC with Windows, Quadcore 3.8 gh CPU, 8 GB DDR3 RAM and a 1 TB hard drive (HDD with puffer). couldn't resist but buying it xD Anyways, i hope it runs smoothly, otherwise it would be really nice if you could at least add an option to reduce graphics a bit like disabling details in the background... i know that would take away the atmosphere of the game but i would be very glad about a constant game speed.

Did you guys/gals happen to unlock the frame rate for some of the animations & cutscenes that were previously locked (specifically with regards to 120/144 hz monitors)?

It runs better for me this time Thanks now feel like I can actually finish it! :)

I hope so, because the biggest reason I didn't play the original is because it would run in slow motion if it wasn't at a full 60FPS. (ie, 20FPS = 1/3 speed.) It's great to hear that the performance is better, but can anyone confirm whether this issue has now been resolved?

This version runs better on my RIG than the regular version.

Definitive edition runs much better. Although it sometimes hinders when there is a lot of stuff going on. Like fire. But that's my lovely laptop. It maintains 60 for the most parts though.
Nice job

That sounds very good. I can't wait to download it, currently VERY busy with other downloads tho... i give feedback as soon as possible... my current FPS were around 20 FPS, 30 max at lower res... hopefully i get something around 40 - 60 FPS, would be better than great :D

I was loving the original release until I hit the swamp and it became unplayably slow. I really hope this isn't an issue in DE, but if it is, then at least this quote from the developer practically ensures a refund..... right? :)
