game is just trash sorry .
game is trash sorry . the difficulty level is insane ... meatboy level.
if you are a masochist and love pixel perfect jumps then please my guest , this game masquerades as a cute game when in fact is ultra hardcore difficult platformer
I think i died over 200 times on the stupid gravity map where they invert the controls to make it artificially harder

You seem like you're having a bad day. Do you need a hug? A massage? Some ice cream?

Welcome to true 2D Metroidvania games. Difficulty level is generally more challenging than in usual games.

It is meant to die a lot of times. Ori itself isn't even one of the worst ones, tbh. But yes, due to the insta-death mechanics you need a lot of patience, though the consquences are not very harsh.

Indeed, I find Hollow Knight MUCH harder, and find it really bizzare that anyone says otherwise (I've seen it).

Agree. HK has some very tough boss fights in it with some luck based mechanics. Especially Radiance and Nightmare King Grimm were quite frustrating for me to beat them. Compared to this Ori is quite fair. Ori can just be a pain when you go for the one life to live and immortal achievement. One unlucky insta death and you have to do it all over again.

finished the game . the game was saved by the save manual points or else would be a unmitigated disaster . whats the purpose of making levels hard because the developer had a hardon for artificial difficulty . i am enraged by a powerup put 1 pixel away from spikes and u need to glide to it and one tiny pixel shift and u die ... thats not skill thats artificial difficulty
i have the sequel bought and i wont play because of them using the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ artificial difficulty
i am 80 years old and these games are not hard on my arthritic fingers

Its your fault for not saving.
Game tells you frequently about this.
The purpose of making something hard is to provide a challenge. Not every game has to be as easy as Mario. If you cant handle a harder game then thats on you and not the game.
Overwhelming positive for a reason

Hey now, most Mario games are hardly that easy either. Hell I have a much easier time with Ori than I do with a lot of them.
A better example might be Kirby.

I totally don't understand these statements about Ori requiring "pixel precision". For me, tolerances are quite good.

Agree. I also think it's an exaggeration.

It's a relaxing game for casual players. No one dies 200 times. No way
And you can save almost everywhere etc
It's a fun game even for casuals.

Confirmed troll post. I died 250 times on my first playthrough, and I'm a lover of hardcore platformers. Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden, DKC, etc.

But died to what? The one-shot mechanics? Or regular enemies, escape-sequences?

I had problems in Hollow Knight for example

I don't remember well enough. I think the largest amount of deaths in a single area was in Ginso Tree learning how to use Bash well enough. And I never played Hollow Knight to compare.

Ah Ginso escape, yes. A lot of people had problems.
