Upgrade to Definitive Edition?

I read that in 2016, owners of the original game received a -75% oupon to purchase the definitive edition. However, that coupon is not valid anymore. Is there any way to upgrade the game? I would like to replay through it, but with the new additions.

Definitive Edition just adds two abilities: dash and light burst, one area: Black Root Burrow, so you don't need to buy it.

It was a limited time offer for those who purchased the original game, and sadly is no longer valid. Kind of a "you snooze you lose" coupon. That being said this game goes on sale quite often during the typical Steam Sales, and will probably be lower in cost then 50% off (just give it enough time).

Also this, the Black Root Burrow adds a little extra lore, but overall you could easily watch a youtube video of the area, and the new abilities if you don't want to fork over 10 bucks.
