Trapped in Thornfelt Swamp

Hello, so I'm completely lost... I've only been in three areas so far, I've tried watching videos, and nothing is helping.

I'm stuck in thornfelt swamp, and I have no clue how to get out. I can't swim without dying, I can't stomp through floors, and I don't have the ability yet to break the purple walls... so the only way I've found that I should be able to get out is here, but I have no idea how to open this area. Anyone have any ideas?

Go toward the lower-left part of that screenshot, and bait the tentacle-like, spitting monsters into breaking open holes for more monsters to pop out of, until you get one to break the door at the far left, which leads to Moon Grotto. If you weren't expecting this game to work your brain, you'd better start really firing it up soon.

By the way, that other door where you actually are in the screenshot requires Light Burst, an optional skill from Black Root Burrows. Although, you can only explore half of Black Root at this point.

Yeah, I tried previously to get them to aim properly but I guess I didn't wait long enough. I'll give it a shot today. Thanks.
