Which pathway in the ability tree did you focus on your plathrough?
I focused on the utility tree first and then combat second. Starting with the utility tree just made the game so much easier in the mid/end portion of the game. Especially with having triple jump, breathing underwater, and air dash.

The efficiency tree didn't seem all that enticing to me as many of the abilities were just revealing pickup location which you could easily find your self if you explore enough, or use a strategy guide.

Actually you can play fairly good without using ability tree at all. But when it really matters, I obtain 'drops floating to Ori' in Efficiency, then "Regroup" in Utility, then 2 upgrades for Spirit Flame in Combat branch. Then double health gain from collecting health orbs in Efficiency and then I max out the Utility branch till Ultra Defense - very good to have it late into the game.

Always:
1. Utility (for Triple Jump)
2. Efficiency (makes things easier later on)
3. Combat (quite useless in my eyes)

I don't use special combat attacks often, so the combat skill tree is a waste of ability points for me. Normal attack is even in hard mode strong enough to kill off any enemy. Would have been different if Ori:BF had boss fights like Hollow Knight.

Split flame is very good. Don't know about the last upgrade (4 targets at once) but seeing how much just doubling it improved, I would say it's worthwhile.

You guys didn't notice that the Efficiency branch is the one that has triple jump and water breathing. At least that's what my achievement says for maxing that line.

Split flame is nice, but it is absolutely not necessary. I still find it much more convenient to concentrate on Ultity branch first (Triple Jump and Ultra Defense), and then going for Efficiency. Leaving Combat for the later part of the game (which will not be maxed out in a normal run).

Stetchyf mixed Efficiency and Ultra Defense up. I looked it up ingame, Ultra Defense is the last one in Utility branch, right next to Triple Jump.
