Where do you farm spirit points?
I have just now 100 percented my hard mode run and am now trying to get all upgrades. Farming is rough in hard mode, so could anyone tell me some good farming locations? Thanks!

Farm in easy mode but make sure you use a second save

You don't. There is just not enough spirit light scattered around the world to get everything in hard mode, and farming for it would take an insane amount of time. Just start a new game on easy or normal and get all upgrades that way, it will be much faster.

I have found a nice spot in the Ginso Tree. Right after the spirit well where it forks to two paths. I take the left path.

There is a stomper and a spider. Each gives 9 points towards an ability point with an additional stomper able to be easily baited into the fray for a total of 27 points per about 22 seconds.

There are two locations that are important:

My method is this:
1. Kill off the spider. I like to start the cycle with the stomper.
2. After the stomper jumps, use bash as it is in midair to get you to the platform.
3. Attract the next stomper to jump down.
4. Jump out of its way and strike it once or twice with the spirit flame.
5. On the way down charge the Charge Flame and release when both are within range.
(collect 18 points)
6. Next spawn another spider by crossing over the spawn point (repeatedly, if need be)
7. Redirect the spiders shot towards itself to kill the spider.
(collect 9 points)
8. Spawn another stomper by crossing over the spawn point (again repeatedly if need be) and repeating the cycle.

Repeat ad nauseum or until you run out of energy. In that case just use normal attacks until some energy is eventually dropped.

I'm not sure how much is needed to get to one ability point. But at around 22 seconds per cycle I could foresee at least 20 mins needed.

Unlike other enemies the points do not seem to cap after a number of defeats. I was able to do this for around 5 ability points before needing a break.

Really late to answer here, but in case anyone else was wondering:

There’s a good spot toward the top of the upward-wind in Sorrow Pass, by all the thorns (right around where you have to drop a rock on Kuro).

There’s 4 birds that constantly regenerate when you leave the screen. Float on by and kill them, absorb the spirit, and land on the left to save and get health back. There’s even an energy crystal that regenerates here to keep you in near-infinite energy. Just be careful since there’s a green spitter-frog-dude who occasionally respawns near this crystal

I was able to get a full ability point in about 10 or so minutes or so on Hard difficulty by constantly dropping down, floating up, killing birds, landing, saving, and repeating. Time consuming, but fastest I’ve found so far.

It helps a lot if you have the Ultra Spirt Flame and Ultra Magnet abilities - and, of course, Spirit Efficiency will help, too. Those are all semi-late abilities, but if you try to get those first it’ll make farming easier.

Hope that helps anyone looking for tips on Spirit Farming!

Horu Fields is a wonderful place for auto-grinding. I once did a Hard playthrough and wanted to complete my upgrades but it was getting late, so I nestled Ori into the split stump in Horu Fields and let the game run overnight while the rolling Ram repeatedly self-sacrificed. Slow but effortless method of farming XP points; works great if you want to max out your inventory while concentrating on important things, like sleep.

I tried AFK-farming method at Horu Fields (by following the guide by user above).
Left the game running overnight. First save file is after I woke up, second save file is before I went to bed (started farming). In 9 hours I've got 12 ability points. I need 18 to get 6 remaining skills.
Starting to think if it's even worth it to farm XP on Hard difficulty.

Edited:
Left my game running overnight again. Jumped from 12 to 21 ability points in another 9 hours. Unlocked all of the remaining skills and still have 3 spare ability points left. This farming method is the most efficient, it's just very long on Hard difficulty.
