and now im stuck... dont know where to go, seems i missed something, dont know what and where though, i thought this game would be a fun, straight forward experience
guess i was wrong - another hardcore platformer for pros...

If something is too hard, you can come back later after improving Ori. Black Root Burrows is completely optional. Or you could tell us where you're struggling at.

Are you missed a hint from Sein about "unstable ground" while going to the Ginso Tree and ended up in Black Root Burrows? Congrats! You are not the first one!

As BuzzingBee said - it is completely optional and designed for players who finished game at least once and provides extra challenge. You shouldn't go there - go the the Ginso Tree!

It is one confusing part added in DE and wasn't possible in original game, that is pretty straightforward.

I was able to light up Black Root Barrows, but im stuck in general, no matter where i go its a dead end. But its ok, i dont like this bs running around searching for clues, the devs could have put in a simple/optional obj marker for players like me, but whatever

You have a marker on the map. But if you consider game "a bs" because you cannot find the way with the map and the marker on it - then you better stop playing and stop bs'ing about it.

You also wouldn't like people bs'ing about something that of value to you.

So jea im in Black Root Barrows (32%), i managed to light the place up somehow (unable-to-save-passage done) theres is a destroyable groundpiece, which i cant destroy, and on the right theres a stonetablet socket which i cant reach. Bottom right is a glowing orange thingy which i also cant reach yet

Sunken Glades (71%), many blocked gates which require 4 energy thingys, there might be a fourth around somewhere, dont know, the oh-so-brilliant-map doesnt show it. Another 3 glowing orange thingys in the area, which i cant reach
Theres also green glowing walls around somewhere which i cant destroy

Hollow grove - oh hey found a wall i can destroy, thx for the the clear paths and the hints game -
MARKERS MYASS

I'll say again, come back to Black Root Burrows later, you'll eventually grab a skill that can destroy unstable ground. Don't be so frustrated overall; at least you gained Dash ability.

Locked door that required 4 energy cells aren't essentials, if I recall correctly they're just open more secrets or shortcuts to other area, so again don't worry.

And sorry to hear this game isn't "follow the marker", I mean you're free to explore anywhere on your own, and if something is unreachable like orb containers then don't worry & come back later once you earn more abilities. You don't need to 100% the area, you can backtrack later but hey, you're playing metroidvania platformer.

If it's just a matter of presentation, it's amazing. However the actual "game" part of this product is pretty ♥♥♥♥. I mean, generic platforming, unbelievable amounts of backtracking, blocked passages everywhere, nothing to tell you where the ♥♥♥♥ to go, and one section I was able to do was horribly designed,
Reviewer never played a "Metroidvania". Review quality dropping...

I triggered the cutscene, took 10 seconds to walk out of the area, and saved.
I don't remember any unavoidable death traps?

Game shows you on the map where you are supposed to go. Two hours? How?

Also, the amount of cursing is quite indicative of this being a rage review posted right after quitting out of the game. They never went back to the game after calming down. A shame.

mhm, I only got stuck in just ONE place which was like not really in the beginning, it was the place where you need to lure a frog on the unstable ground and break it, I was like trying to find, where do I need to go, now I'm just trying to pretty much 100% everyplace because I pretty much have every ability in the game. But one thing, how do you destroy the green walls in Hollow Grove? I thin I know that you need to use these green monsters and explode them near the walls, but how? Just asking. Love this game so much, some times a bit frustrating, because of me or because of my controller which's A button gets stuck and both of the bumpers which don't work great.

It's just Bash. The simplest explanation is usually the right one.
NaterEST Jul 15, 2020 @ 12:33pm
like you just bash the wall? the vertical green glowing walls? Have I been this dumb the whole time?!
deeper Jul 15, 2020 @ 12:53pm
If it's what I'm thinking of then you Bash the monster into the wall.
NaterEST Jul 15, 2020 @ 1:54pm
yeah, thought of that, but the monster doesn't even like go in the air, because some of those walls have like a gap before them, where the monster can fall into. Am I just jumping too late or too early or what?

Those monsters are heavy, and they will travel in an arc when you bash them. You have to carefully bash them over the holes and into the wall. Remember, you already had to do that once right after Forlorn Ruins.
