New player here, confused with air dash ability
Okay, so first off, amazing game, I love it so far, but I just gathered two ability points because I think I needed air dash to progress through the Ginso tree, and I cannot tell if it is working or not. Am I supposed to basically launch horizontally whilst in the air? That's what the ability trait looks like for Ori, but when I do this, there is no discernable difference for when I am holding Ctrl or using the RB on a USB controller. The buttons work perfectly fine, but I am wondering if they're just not registering when I am hitting these controls, or should I use a specific driver for my controller? It basically looks like an Xbox One controller but it isn't, but it works via USB. I would really like to keep playing this with a controller, but even with switching to keyboard and using the trusty buttons there, I don't seem to be activating air dash....not with controller, not with the keyboard. Am I missing something here? Do I need a different ability first before air dash? I have I think, at least the first 3 in all three skill lines, and I am pretty sure I can already normally sprint with Ori, or whatever. Ori moves faster than when I first started the game. It just doesn't look like Ori has any discernable movement difference from before I got that ability point. Can someone help me? This game is amazing, I just think I ran into some sort of error?

Dash or airdash (what is just an upgrade of the dash ability after you find it in an ancestral tree) are not required for you to beat the game.
And charge dash is also an upgrade of dash what you also dont need to beat the game. You can beat the game without upgrades.
you cant use charge dash or airdash if you havent found the dash ability itselve

Awesome, I think I got it! I am through that close call and I think I'm good for now, gonna rest my hands since controller is wonky, and keep going tomorrow. :)
