How hard are the achievements?
I wanted to know the level of difficulty of the achievements in this game. I finished Hollow Knight 100% recently, so I moved to this game. I liked what I've played so far, and I like this genre.

I like exploration, and having to discover things, and skills to improve movement. I got lost a couple of times here, but could find the way eventually.

I just want to know which are the most challenging achievements here, and if there is some comparison with Hollow Knight achievements.

How many playthroughs are necessary to complete all of them?

Depends on how good you are, really.

My first run, which was 100% on normal difficulty, took me a bit over 14 hours and got me all but 5 achievements.
After that I stared a playthrough on hard mode, but ditched it after 30 minutes and decided to instead go for Supersonic and Elite, and I managed to get both of them in the same run. So that took me another 3 hours.

And then I spent the next 55+ hours trying to get the Immortal achievement (though I was also going for 100% on these runs, so I basically made it harder for myself).

Immortal and Unhinged are way harder than the rest, because one mistake can trash your entire run. Especially when you're dealing with obstacles that can one-hit kill you. I imagine they're probably the only ones that might give you some trouble.

Never played Hollow Knight though, so I can't really give you a comparison.

How hard you will find to get all achievements depends on your personal skills. I can't compare them to Hollow Knight because I didn*t played that game.

But compared to 20XX the achievements of Ori are a breeze. Non of them are too difficult. In theory you can do them all in 2 runs. But more realistic is doing about 3-4 runs, because for some runs you are more likely to choose the easy mode.

Here is a list with the percentages the players got them:
https://steamcommunity.com/stats/387290/achievements

Most of them can be collected or farmed as soon as you unlocked all the areas, because you can always go back in the DE version. But 5 achievements need a closer look, or reruns:

* Supersonic (speedrun in under 3 hours, needs some experience or a guide to do it)
* Elite (no power-ups)
* Immortal (no dying, saves and backup files are getting marked if you die)
* Unhinged (master one-life difficulty)
* Formidable (master the hard difficulty)

The first three you usually do on easy mode difficulty. You can combine Supersonic and Elite, but it is not advisable.
Immortal and Unhinged can be done together too, but remember, if you died, your save files get marked even if you can continue your game from the beginning. Delete save and start over, else you will get Unhinged at the end, but not the Immortal achievement. Though both achievement can be tricked by messing up with the save files, making it quite easy to get it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I think can handle these games pretty well, with some training.

What is the difference between Unhinged and Immortal? If I complete the game on one-life difficulty, will both unlock?

If you can do Hollow Knight 100% you should have NO trouble at all with this game.

I'm glad to know that.

They'll both unlock in one-life mode, but only Immortal will unlock in any other difficulty; the main difference is that you can't duplicate one-life savefiles (not in-game, at least) so you can't savescum Unhinged, but you could do it for Immortal.
Very important thing to remember if you go for Unhinged is to delete the savefile and start a new one every time you die to prevent a glitch that will lock you out of getting the achievement.

Thanks for the tip. I'll keep that in mind.

100% achievements on this is way easier than Hollow Knight. 40 hours on Ori, 80 on Hollow Knight. You should have no problem 100%ing it, except for the few times when an achievement doesn't trigger, but that's easy to fix.
And yes, definitely delete your save file when you die in One Life. You really don't want to have to do that twice :sein:

My opinion:

Embrace the Void > Unhinged > Steel Heart >......

Ori only has one really hard achievement. (Unhinged) :kuro:
