Framerate issues
I haven't played Ori Definitive Edition in a while since it's launch here on stream. It was having framerate issues after a couple of minutes of gameplay.

I've tried re-installing the game, as well as deleting the 1st Ori and the Blind Forest in order to fix the issue, but that hasn't helped.

What is strange is that the first Ori and the Blind Forest game had no framerate issues at all. So I was wondering if anyone else has the same issues as I do.

Thank you for your time to read my issue.

I have a similar problem as op playing the DE Version of the game, the funny thing is the framerate counter is showing stable 60.
Animations and running is stuttery as hell, so i would think it is the frame pacing?

Im on a Gigabyte Gtx 970 with Win 10 Pro 64 bit, so how do i fix this?
PcGamingWiki has no Problems listed at all, so i'm a bit speachless for now.

Edit: Apon further testing i have to say something with the DE Version seems just wrong.
The framerate in the normal Version shows every slowdown and lag clearly in the fps - that is not the case with the DE Version.

My conclusion for now is playing the normal Version to completion until a fix is found.

If i'm not mistaken:

for 60 FPS in 60Hz

try V-Sync in game (turn ON) + FPS lock to 60FPS in RTSS Riva Tuner Statistic Server (you can it find for example in Google) from some safe website (you can use for example VirusTotal.com or other website to check if is maybe safe etc. VirusTotal is a subsidiary of Google maybe).

For less input lag you can also set max pre-rendered frames to 1 (or 2 if 1 make it stutter) in Nvidia Inspector program. You can also try Power management mode set to Prefer maximum performance in NVIDIA Inspector.

[In some games you can try V-Sync from for example Nvidia Control Panel + 60FPS lock in RTSS for 60FPS in 60Hz or 1/2 half refresh sync in Nvidia Inspector + 30 FPS lock in RTSS for 30FPS in 60Hz (30 FPS NOT in Ori) but Ori maybe does NOT support exclusive fullscreen so V-Sync from Nvidia can not work maybe].

[Sorry for my English etc.]

Everything tested, nothing worked. I was wondering if this is a Win 10 problem or not, but there are so few infos on the net about DE Version that i have not found anything useful aside from the usual nvida stuff with panel vsync frocing and so on, as well as the pinned thread.

As i said i get the feeling either DE itself has extremley poor framepacing in combination with Win 10 64 bit or the DE Version itself is borked, what ever maybe the case, the fact that none of these problems are present for me in the normal Version of the game with the same hardware is all i have to know at the end.

uh...........I'm not a tech swavy person, but it is much appreciated that all of you have replied, lol

If the next Ori game is somehow available for Steam *hopefully*, i'm just hoping it won't have the framepacing issues that I had with DE.

Turning off windows HDR fixed it for me. I know this is an old thread but this could help people in the future with similar issues.
