Are Naru and Gumo lovers?

i recall they call Naru "she" in definite edition

and Gumo was he

but well both of them even though are from dark creatures, they are a different species and i think they just become a friend rather than lover

the sad thing is both Naru and Gumo species have been wiped out, so they are the only last remaining from their species

How do you know that to be true of Naru? That's never said in-game, and all we ever see of their species is Naru and her father. That doesn't mean there aren't more of them in other places. Maybe the 2 of them moved to the outskirts of Nibel from some other forest. We don't even know for sure that we won't find out more about the species in Will of the Wisps or some other future sequel.

oh yeah right

in the will of wisp it seems they go to another forest , i think it was the original habitant of kuro , so her child(the hatcling owl) want to go there and find is there is any owl species like him because he feels alone.

It seems in will of wisp , there are many weird species(they look like lizard or such) that can talk
