Average playtime [Solved]
Hello there, I've been looking on the internet, but couldn't find anything, so now I want to ask the steam community. How long does it take in average to complete the game? Would it be possible to complete it in one run?

And of course you can complete it one run... maybe you mean in one sitting? I mean, people speedrun this game and there's an achievement for finishing under 3 hours, so yes it would be possible... not on your first run though, you gotta know what you're doing first.

Not quite sure. My first playthrough for the vanilla version was around 13 hours (with 613 deaths) IIRC and my fastest has been around 2 hours and 20 minutes (one of the achievements requires playing the game under 3 hours). I'd say depending on the amount of backtracking and exploration around 8 - 12 hours might be a reasonable average for a first playthrough. I say for first playthrough because once you know the map and how to go through the game then it naturally becomes faster to play.

Players who are more familiar with platformers most likely can finish the game faster. The Definite Edition added a few hours worth of optional content and also quick travel which generally speaking makes the DE shorter because backtracking is faster.

Not sure what you mean for "complete the game"

If you mean "how long will it take for first playthrough in average", I would say 10h. Personally I used 20h.

Thank you very much. It gave me a little more understanding I'd say. I really appreciate your answer, Thanks!

Yea, I was talking about the first playthrough in average. Thanks a lot!

As a typical Metrovania, it is not necessary to visit all areas or get every power-up to beat the game. So it depens a lot of how hard you are rushing yourself or you enhoy it. But the game is not too long and not too short. In my eyes are perfect balance.

Groen90's link is nice. Didn't knew that such a site exists.

For a first playthrough : about 10-15 hours

for a later playthrough : the usual player should take a bit less than 3 hours. My record was sub 2 hours when doing One Life Mode
