What is the best order to get abilities?
What order do you guys usually get the abilities from the ability tree? I usually get rekindle, spirit magnet, and then quick flame (the first one in each branch), then the one that heals you for creating a soul link and then after that i just go somewhat randomly based on what i think is the most important. Now I'm trying hard mode and I have to use ability points more wisely. What do you think is the best order to use them?

I always do combat branch last, because stomp destroys everything.

I like to go efficiency line to extra exp skill, then go utility line to ultra defense.

I start always with magnet then quick flame followed by rekindeled.
Then i increase my streight of oris attacks everytime i think im lacking power. And tries to get all the healing abilities as quiclky as possible

I always go for the spirit magnet first, then the combat line until the 4th boost and after that i up the utility branch for the ultra defense. At least i finish the combat branch and the efficiency branch

I usually get a mix of both Efficency and Utility early on, then after Utility doesn't heal anymore for creating Soul Links I max out Efficency.

The offensive branch isn't really that good past the maybe first 2 points since after a while enemies are used for platforming and those that aren't can be bypassed with Bash or quickly taken care off with either Bash or Stomp (most enemies can 2 shot themselves if you redirect their attacks with Bash).

I can't really tell you what order I get them all in, because I don't remember all of them and the order is not totally the same every time. But the order in which you get them is not important. What's important is choosing which ones not to buy at all. Most everything on the Utility (blue) branch will help you very much. You should fill it all the way up. On the Efficiency (purple) branch, you only need to collect up through Energy Efficiency. Everything after that is just for your map except for Spirit Efficiency, which is useless in Hard mode because it won't make that much difference in the end. On the Combat (red) branch, I personally like getting the things up through Cinder Flame because I'm a pretty big Spirit Flame user. I don't like attacking by using Stomp, it's just not my style, and while Bash can be much more effective against certain enemies, Bashing can be harder and feel unnatural in general to me still, and sometimes it's quicker just to Spirit Flame them. So that's all that I think is really necessary to finish the game, but when I played Hard mode, I found that I had some points left over, so I put them into the Combat branch, up through Rapid Flame.

Double exp from utility tree, then full survival tree and combat tree for a change. Combat tree becomes useless, when you get bash and stomp.
