Gate Question

I have come across a couple of these "bamboo looking" gates. Is there a special ability I need to open these or is it something I learn?

I have ultra light burst. It doesn't do anything.

Those gates are tied to a switch, such as a ground-pound pole or light burst lantern nearby.

And where is the switch to the gate in the beginning of the Hollow Grove? I mean the gate above the water between the two trees with the birds. I can't find it.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the place where you have to shoot yourself up (using the birds with your dash) to the top of the tree that looks like it's a nest. Look up and to the right and there's a lantern hanging there. Light with your light burst.

If that's not the place you're thinking of, post again and I'll take a look next time I play.

Thank you for your help! I found the lantern but I can't light burst it. I have ultra light burst too but it cant damage the lantern. I tried the same with the same kind of lantern and gate in the thornfelt stamp and it is the same. Do you have any tip for me? I want to open these gates so much :D

I think you are confusing quick flame with Light Burst. Flame (there are different levels of it) is an ABILITY. Light Burst is a SKILL that you acquire from one of the trees--I think in Black Root Burrows.

Yes, exactly. I did not discover the Black Root Burrows unti now. Somehow I thought that I have to go there later. Sorry, that I was dumb. :)

Now I'm stuck at the Light Burst ability tree. So when I can go out I will be able to open the gates.

It might not be the tree that you get the skill from but it is somewhere in BRB.
