How do I upgrade to the definitive edition?
Hello. I bought the game several years ago, and only learned recently that there's a "definitive edition". According to a fewl gaming articles, owners of the game can upgrade to the definitive edition for $5. However, in the store I only see the option to buy it for $22 CD. I can't find any other option. What am I missing?

The upgrade discount for owners of the original Ori has already expired, you'll just have to wait for a sale

That's a peculiar way for the company to shoot themselves in the foot. Wouldn't they want this product to be perpetually available to their customer base, to maximize exposure and potential profit?

The upgrade option was available once, but then they removed it and instead gave a -75% off coupon to everyone, because people were having trouble with gifting or something

That's strange, because I don't see a coupon in my steam inventory. Nor do I see any record of receiving one in my inventory history. Is it possible that it wasn't given to people who haven't logged on to steam for a long time?

Is there anything I can do to get a coupon from them, or am I just ♥♥♥♥ out of luck?

Well it's expired now. It's possible that you haven't recieved it if you didn't log in for a while, but I'm not sure.
About getting another coupon I think someone mentioned once to try and ask the dev Sofie http://steamcommunity.com/id/opiaz
