Mystery box keeps unlocking volcano map

Got the game on the current steam sale, so idk if this issue came from a recent update. What happens is once I unlock the pier level, and I get the mystery box in it which unlocks the volcano level, it also unlocks the jungle with it. Then every time a new box appears in the pier, it keeps unlocking the volcano, putting me in a loop of not letting me unlock any new levels since no gifts want to appear in the volcano. I resetted my progress and same issue happens. Is this a common problem because my friend who also got the game with me is faced with it, and if so is there a fix for it.

The game has suddenly gotten a lot of game-breaking bugs in general with the newest update. Just have to wait for a patch most likely, unfortunately.

Ye thought so, as I was also getting weird bugs playing online, waiting it is I guess.

Are you sure the box was for you and not for another player playing with you? As far as i'm aware, box prices are random and aren't influenced by where the box appear (which level).

The longer you play, the more maps you will have. Unless i'm wrong, in order to get more maps, you need to finish at least 1 game on all other official levels, THEN a box for you containing a new map should start spawning.

I'm pretty certain it was for me, cause I tested it also on my own locally using 2 controllers, and it just kept giving me the box with volcano even though I already unlocked it. The gift didn't wanna appear in any other levels except for the pier. And ye you right on one the play 1 match in each level and play a few matches between each unlocks, but even then same issue.

While I don't have any idea about a potential fix for the issue, I'd suggest you to use the "unlock everything" code (characters, skins and maps).

While at lobby (giant tree with character and map selection), press (on keyboard):

R, R, Shift, Shift, R, R, E

That way you should be able to access to new maps :)

Seems the problem still exist, just gonna have to wait for them to fix it.

i had this same problem, in my case is was solved as i unlock the jungle level(again) on the pier level

i recommend playing with other friend online, meanwhile hes the host

They updated the game and it seems that the issue is now fixed. I am able to unlock stuff other than the volcano now.
