Make names optional

Make names optional, they are distracting and detract from the game, i liked it better before.
Or better yet, make them only come up when you hold a button or toggle on a button.

I completely agree with your opinion. It is something I want to improve and make customizable.

I'm thinking about having a setting in the options that lets you switch between a few options will be what we end up on.

Do how do you feel about the cursor names tag? Are they are problem for you too, or just the character ones?

I haven't really noticed the cursor names, are they only on when you select an animal? That wouldn't bother me as that only happens once per game.
If you mean in the item select screen for party mode, then i think they don't need to be there or atleast be toggleable.
