Translation Issues?

Hi everyone!

A few people have brought to our attention that some of the translation in the game is either not the best choice of words, or in some cases is simply incorrect. I'm starting this thread to open a discussion about translation issues in the game and see what we can do to fix them.

I've submitted 36 improved translations on the German column. I'm an experienced volunteer translator. In the past, I've helped to translate games like Bullet Heaven 2, Reus, Rocket League, YouTubers Life, and many more games, into my native language, which is German. I corrected a few more things in German that where wrong or sounded odd.
The biggest problem thats still in the game is "You're the ULTIMATE x" though.
In German, it would have to be "Du bist der/die/das ULTIMATIVE Pferd/Huhn/Waschbär/etc."
Right now, it's "Du bist ULTIMATIVE das Pferd/das Huhn/der Waschbär".
I dont know how much work it would be to make three "You're the" strings for German, but thats the only way to make it sound normal, cause we have three articles for three grammatical genders. (And the article has to be between "Du bist" and "ULTIMATIVE")

Edit: There is no animal with female grammatical gender as far as I can see. So it would only have to be two strings if no more animals are planned

Animal: Pferd (Pferd = Horse)

So the correct German result is: Du bist das Ultimative Pferd

Actually it says wrong: Du bist Ultimative das Pferd

I hope i helped to fix the Syntax-Error :)


BUT: Some Animals have in German different genders. But it can be solved easily.
Just add it as a "salutation-String", which is only activated if German is activated in the Settings.

The Difference:
Du bist das Ultimative Pferd / Huhn / Schaf
Du bist der Ultimative Waschbär

"das" and "der" are the additional Salutation-String. It must be between "Du bist" and "Ultimative"
Depending on which Animal has won, it must change between "das" and "der".

Correct Salutations: (But the word "Ultimative" must between Salutation and Animal)
der Waschbär (Du bist der ULTIMATIVE Waschbär)
das Schaf (Du bist das ULTIMATIVE Schaf)
das Pferd (Du bist das ULTIMATIVE Pferd)
das Huhn (Du bist das ULTIMATIVE Huhn)


PS:
If it is impossible to add a additional Salutation-String, you could use a cute Version of the "Waschbär", so that "das" would be match.
Du bist das ULTIMATIVE Waschbärchen.

But it would similar if i would say in Cute-English:
you are the ULTIMATE Racoony
... or ...
you are the ULTIMATE Horsy
you are the ULTIMATE Chicky
you are the ULTIMATE Sheepy


But i think, this is not what you want xD
So i suggest to add a additional Salution-String, as described above.

Hey there, thanks for the input. We know about the additional string for German text, I'm not 100% sure what we can do but we did have to change things around for other languages (Spanish, Portuguese for example) so we might be able to do something. I'll make sure we look into it!

Hi, if you have any plans to add more languages in the future I could help with translating stuff to Norwegian if you guys want (if it is added, it uses these special characters as a heads up: æ, Æ, ø, Ø, å, Å)
