Possibility of more than 4 players?

Is there anyway to play with 5 people, I have 4 other friends who own this game and it would be really fun to play as a group of 5. If there is any way to enable it that would be great. Thanks :).

It's been suggested before, but because of the amount of work it would take and the amount of consideration regarding the impact adding more players to the game has, it's not very high on the list of priorities.

Aw this would be so much better if we could have more players xD, I know my group online would probably go for it if we could :( even at home we gotta switch off when I have friends over ;_;

I know right it's really unfortunate. 5 other friends and I own this game in my group, and I think it would be so cool to be able to play with them all at the same time :( sucks to exclude some of em when we play.

We agree it would be awesome! But we'll have to see as we add more content in the game if that becomes a high enough priority or if it's even possible.

Allow more than 4 players on private hosted servers? that way it will take the strain off your servers.

mabye start by adding 1-2 maps that works with more players and if it is a success then make more maps ? mabye it isnt just that simple i dunno...
