Can I play ultimate chicken horse with someone who doesn't own the game?

Steam remote play together or parsec both work pretty well with the game.

You can play using Steam's Remote Play. You can make a Local lobby to play just the two of you, or an Online lobby to have the two of you + online players.

However with Remote Play, only one person at a time can play using a keyboard. The other will have to use a controller.
