Which Sprint Button is More Popular?

My brother and I are trying to settle an argument. Assuming everyone plays with an Xbox controller, what button do you use to sprint? Right trigger or X? (I suppose for PS controllers it would be square). Thanks.

I think the right trigger is better because you can jump and sprint without moving you finger away from the sprint button to jump

Dang, I thought X for controller would be more popular. It just seems easier for me lol

Right trigger is objectivly better because you can sprint while jumping without an awkward grip. You're really left with three choices: embrace early onset carpel tunel and go with the claw grip, hover your thumb over both the X and A button so that both can be pressed at once, or reposition your thumb every single time you want to switch from sprint to jump which would severely disadvantage you in this game.

That, or you can just use the right trigger like everyone else.

I had no clue right trigger was sprint as well. I've been placing my thumb on top of the X and A buttons in a slightly diagonal fashion and whenever I need to sprint or jump I put pressure on the front or middle of my thumb respectively. I've found it to be pretty easy but perhaps I'll try out the right trigger for a bit and report back here with my preference.

Come to think of it, I haven't really given right trigger a try either. I just started with the X button and that's what I've become used to. Perhaps I'll try the trigger as well and see what I think of it.

Im pretty sure controllers are a downgrade because you have a slower moving cursor during party, and slower moving during placing, and creative menu.
But if i would it would be X

I use X most of the time. Makes it easier to reliably hit it immediately after jump

I have no problem jumping while sprinting with x I just move my thumb down on A while holding X like whats the problem with that? I do understand people prefeering the Trigger but I dont understand how holding X for sprint would hinder your jumping capabilities
