Temporary solution for remapping keyboard
Windows Resource Toolkits lets you easily remap anything on your keyboard by simply dragging and dropping and changing the registry accordingly. In my case, changing punch and kicks to the numpad and jump to spacebar. It's clunky and annoying but better than nothing.

Download Windows Resource Toolkit 2003 from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17657
It's for an earlier OS and will give you a compability warning but it works with W7 (not sure about later OS) so just run it anyway.

Once it's unpacked look for remapkey.exe and open as administrator, otherwise it will not be able to change the registry. Simply drag and drop as you desire but keep in mind that if you overwrite a key it is gone, so if you want to keep everything you need to switch their positions.

When you are done exit the program and reboot your computer. Once rebooted the changed should be in effect. To change it back just revert the changes, reboot and everything is as it should be.

If you're having problems or are uncertain how it works I found a handy video guide.

Hope some of you find this useful, I myself couldn't play with the default buttons. I wrote this with W and Spacebar swapped so I can confirm that it works!

This method is only for keyboard. If you're using a 360 controller you can change inputs with either Xpadder or JoyToKey. I don't have experience with either of them so I'm afraid I can't help you.

Careful you don't change something that you need to log into your computer! Or you'll need to use the onscreen keyboard if you restart. :D

Yeah. I recommend swapping keys instead of replacing them.

I read that JoyToKey could be used for keyboard remapping, but if it can then I don't know how.

In any case, I've been using the utility you suggested, and it worked like a charm. You just have to remember to run it as an administrator when you want to change and reset the key bindings.

Applying common sense also means to backup the registry before you use the utility to modify it, but I haven't run into any problems.

Oddly enough, typing with the keys shifted around was oddly fun... for like 3 minutes Kappa

I tried JoyToKey but couldn't figure out how to swap around keys. If it's possible and someone knows how, please write a short guide and I'll add it into the first post.

I've pretty much gotten used to it at this point. It's not so bad. :D:

Programmable keyboards like the Poker series work great, too.

Thank you.
This worked perfectly.
