Why can't I start the first level?

I just bought the game, when I first start up the game, it shows my two controllers and a stick infront of me, it says to use the trigger to grab the stick, but its not doing anything. I'd like to point out that no matter what I do the flower on the top of my controllers are open. Don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I'm reading through the topics and it seems like my issue is similar to the ones in May with Windows MR. I'm using the HTC vive though, with the version 2.02. Please send help.

I tried changing levels, turns out that I can't interact with anything, or at least with the level that I landed on. The items do get highlighted when my controllers are on them, but I can't do anything.

dang, that doesn't sound good! Can you send me your game logs? (steam>game>right click>properties>local files>browse, it'll be a log file in the content directory)

If you email them to [e-mail] that'd be tremendous. I use the HTC Vive on 2.02 and everything is fine here, so I'm hoping it's something else on your system.

So I think I was able to fix it. I did these steps:

"Remove all SteamVR Devices" in Developer menu
Uninstall SteamVR
Unplug all connections from the Vive control box, both ways including power cable
Replug in the headset, allow the drivers to reinstall
Reinstall SteamVR

Afterwards, I started the game, and I was able to interact with the stick! Thanks for looking into it though!

I too am having this issue! Haven't yet tried Sage's fix, gonna attempt to save some trouble and try just reinstalling the game first.

I have this exact issue with my Valve Index, I've skipped through the levels and I cannot actually grab anything, even though it shows when I'm pulling the trigger. Don't know what to do :(
