Maps and Mayhem

Hello everyone. Is there a guide for the map maker and how to link items/what they do. It reminds me of Mario Paint/the Mario World map maker and a very sinple RPGMaker, but I want to devise a game within this fun little platformer, something dark adn fun maybe. Just need to know more about how the map works if anyone can help that is.

This game is mostly dead, and theres no easy way to share maps mapmaking didnt evolve like in most games where you can make and share maps like superfighters deluxe or minecraft. There is no guides or important mapmakers
