Sand and Clay

Where is sand and raw clay found? The description says to goto sandy shores but can't seem to find anything. I have a shovel ready to go to scoop some up.

Use your forage skill, by default under '2'

Its not really shown in game, but you can use the Forage and Bio skills every single time you take a step in the game. For example walk one step forward, hit the forage and Bio skill keys, then take another step and repeat. Each time you will collect materials unique to the area you stepped on.

For clay and sand, try working the area near the shore of the lake. It will take time since the game randomly generates the resource, but eventually you will get alot of sand and clay.

You can also get clay, sand, and stone from the Quarry building - it creates it independantly over time. Upgrading the building makes it work better and yield higher tier mats. Same for the Alchemy, Lumber, and Mine buildings.
