And then the mouse cursor doesn't show, making it hard to click on things.

Never heard of this before. Do you have some unusual display size, or maybe 4K monitor or something we have not tried out?

Settings/System/Display/Change the size of text, apps and other items = 175%
Laptop connected to 1080 TV via HDMI with Intel HD Graphics 4000

Ah, ok. Yes, tried it out and confirmed the game does not get sized correctly. Will report to the engine makers...
