New to Crossout... Controller Only?
I thought I'd give this a try. I installed and went in the game and found that it doesn't appear to recognize my wheel and pedals (Logitech G923 wheel, pedals and shifter). I also tried it with my Winwing Orion 2 HOTAS. That didn't work either. I don't see anywhere to choose the controller type. What am I missing? Can I use a wheel or is it controller only?

Huh? How are you going to shoot people with a wheel?

You can use M/KB or controller. I’ve never heard of anyone using a wheel before.

but for a proper answer, you could use Xbox 360 Controller Emulator and link your keys.

Controller refers to stupid console heatbox pad.
MMO programmers & developers seem biased against anything Logitech.
Also Gaijin & Wargaming run aircraft combat simulators, same issue.
I cannot fly with Mouse & KB, same for stupid pads.
Pads were designed for the 2D games of 1980s & that's where they performed best.
The only right way (imho) to play Crossout on PC is to
use keyboard and mouse. Wheels and Hotas are not
an option for the game, neither can a controller do
the job.

Just my 2 cents.

Okay, I can do that. I have that app and use it for other games. I just seem to remember trying Crossout a while back and I thought I used wheel and pedals. Maybe not. Could have been something else. It may also work with a HOTAS setup through the same app. Maybe... I'm sure we all remember using a MS Sidewinder joystick with the twist grip (I still have one) for MechWarrior. Same principle.

While a wheel and pedals may not be ideal for this, a good HOTAS might work well, just like back in the Mechwarrior days. Same principle.
Mechwarrior has a totally different controll scheme than Crossout has.

Controller works perfectly fine.
