Not really, you either have ammo for all or ammo for none. Otherwise it's unfair.
ammunition you can balance it far better than before. Its just simple
math and if you would think a step further you'd see the logic behind
it.
Removing hitscan on MGs and shotguns is a good idea (autocannons don't have hitscan and still work fine). Giving them limited ammo could be good if the base ammo supply is high enough (talking about 350-400 bullets for MGs, 200-275 for ACs and around 150-180 for shotguns). Or it could absolutely destroy the game, no in-between.
