Helis ruin next step for everyone else

As the title says helis ruins next step for everyone who isn't using a heli themselves. Makes me lose interest in the game completly :/

Agree, you can't hide from pro-players flying with machineguns. Besides, that game mode has fewer players to counter enemy helicopters.

Now I wonder, ¿Is it in their plans to mix all types of vehicles in regular 8v8? ¿Or are they planning to keep the playerbase scattered between 12 game modes fighthing bots forever?

Saturday evening 2700 players... in different Regions, servers, modes, PowerScores, ranks. Forum threads have 6- 12 responses, it should be prioritary to gatter players, or the game's gonna be only for it's hardcore fan base until it doesn't get enough revenue to keep it going

I got a solution for you, Option A, run a starfall to counter heli, option B , get good at aiming fatmen cannons. Most heli players are spamming arbiters and dont have much armor, so just hit them with explosives. Also you can use the Next to lock onto a heli, with the stepp spider buff its really hard for heli players to dodge nest spam. 2 nest and a trombone. Lastly, you could also just use machine guns of our own but you need to lead shots and not let them get above you.

I honestly do not see how helis are significantly different from regular fast vehicles? What does cause so mcuh problem that you find the game mode "ruined"? Most weapons that come to mind can be effectively used apart from shotguns and grenade launchers.

On a side note, people aren't separated into 12 modes. All PvP modes (missions) that offer different materials as reward share the same matchmaking queue.

I simply find it boring and infuriating to have to aim up into the sky whenever a heli decides to hover over me and shoot downwards as i try to get my weapons to aim up as much as posible while also trying to navigate with no vision. just feels like poor game design to match mechs and helis against each other as 9/10 engagments helis win in the matches i have played.

i know yall be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bout heilies , i dotn fly heleis , but i like seeing them , hate figthing them cause of the way the weapons are , BUT it will be hard to fix this .

Robocraft hilies were good , but hear they are REALY good .

cross out is haveing the same issues with helies as MWO is with LRM

i dont want to see heiles leave , so id hope that they would

A, build maps to have more places to hide from helies
B, make light a tier of weapons that are low power that can have an effect on helies ( so they can be mounted on things easier
C possabily change heli dynamics that there health might be more hallow .

and most imporatnly of all bring back steam purchaces , this is the only dam battle pass i have ever wanted and i cant even buy it , its ass , tottal ass .

why would a company that makes its money of impulse purchasing make it hard to impulse purchases things ? all it dose is make you realy angry and go some where elts !!!!!

AC-72s Mounted vertically on the cab, then heavy armor. Bridges are good cover, buildings and tall hills.

these flying cowards should have a weight restriction and take twise as much damage as ground vehicles do.

If you can't beat them, join them. Just given in and made my own cyclone/starburst heli. Not the best against ground targets, but most can't shoot back well, so it's shooting fish in a barrel. I try to more focus on popping enemy helis, far more satisfying.

Helis make a mockery of most ground builds, so I've given up bringing my preferred small track build. Mechs do ok with the right weapons as they can aim higher.

I have noticed an increase in the numbers of helis on teams, which is becoming a new problem. Most teams are half bots, so if you have three helis, then you just have three ground bots that get focused by the enemy team.

The number of bots in Next Step does seem excessive, I typically only wait 20-30 seconds for a match, so why it just doesn't wait a bit longer to get a full PvP group I have no idea.

Haven't seen a heli with 5 cannons and yes Rotors have more limited restrictions than wheels, even when you use 2 of them. My heli however can take several cannon direct shots before serious damage, that's all in the Armor and Heavy Cab you choose. I use 2x ACs.
But I've seen very few good pilots in PVE, they all drag the heli down to the ground and sometimes stay there bumping bots.
