As you mentioned, it is possible to play up to higher tiers with white basic gears you get from leveling and doing those item missions, so I'm wondering if you were using a higher-tier cabin with more weapons or other things that made your PS go much higher?
For me, I found that double-walling the armor by converting the basic starter truck design into a "wide body" to mimic the premium starter pack truck made it love MUCH longer, especially when being attacked from the front, but still offered significantly better protection from all sides.
Every item has a PS rating on it... that would be the first place I would look when trying to figure-out what went wrong.
There is also a certain "magic" PS rank at which you start getting thrown higher against tougher opponents... I'm not 100% sure on what that is, though. Maybe between 1,000 or 1,500?
Once we get the f2p MM will be more forginving, as is there is not enough players for you to get your own newb bracket with under 2k score, for one I have insane amounts of trouble even with LMGs making a under 2k build. the one you get frm steam is good enough to face a huricane, just point your blue shotguns at his. You not gonna win every freaking itme its pvp people
Even in COD your gonna see guys max rank show up to play with you at rank one, same with BF and all the others, yet its a huge issue here, only because the bots are so bad you spent 10 levels hardly learning anything baout the game, you didn't have to design anything, or realy change anything just battle and show up.
Oh the steam one has tons of blues that would make you score almost 3k, use that if you have to, but I recomend customizing it, looks pretty but it has design flaws. That is really what these threads break down to design flaws, and learning curve. You just roll with it a in a couple hours of being careid by others hopefully you watched your teammates like I did, took notes on how to build better, and got soem parts to craft your first blue minus those 2 shotguns.
By 11 I had a 76mm turret I still use that gun to blow up guys with purple weapones that to a new player is "seal clubber" but my newb blue cannon well it clubs the seal cluber all I had to do was design my ride better, it can take more hits not because magic level 13 armor lol. I using mostly same parts I had acccess to at 10, but I built 2 tank tranks since then, one 76m turret and aranged my armor so it protects me more, Like those plows and bumpers my gawd they are heavy but more armor then anythything you will get for a while so I use them to make my front harder to crack, and put light in the back and try not to get flanked.
Of course according to your seals I can't possible be able to fight a 40 till like 38 becuas you think this is wow, meanwhil killed my first one at 11 with that 76mm was bt of luck but to me it was fun challange it go so much better as I used these guys and hte watch your teammate cam after death to learn what in the world I was doing wrong.
Most OP seal cluber I ever ran into was rank 12, had 5 lmgs on a gun tower facing down. He hid behind rocks and used to long struts he made to stuck up like 15 feet in the air, then just aimed down and gutted al lthe seals who had no protection from over head shots. He did all that with all common easy to get parts, minus his mini vann cab that let him use 5 lmgs becuase of 10 power. That you can make with egiener crafting lol
Because I was. Arg why is this so hard to explain.
After getting owned in the 3k I q'd with starter truck and got owned in the 3k bracket.
I appreciate all the help, hard for me to type this.
Seal clubbing is a major issue in crossout. And if you can't see that then you are doing it. And there is NOTHING wrong with that. You work hard to grind in order to "pwn" your enemies.
The only issue is the ability to buy credits to buy the parts needed to club... other than that the PS and matchmaking needs serious work.
So to recap in 3k rofl stomped by orange/purps.
0-1000ps ie starter truck after my hitting of level 10 owned by purple/orange weapons. Some of which are level locked.
But the other side of this is deal with it until I am at the level to use here insane items and unleash my own wrath!
Wish there was a bit of "noob protection" though.
The "noob protection" is really there only at the start when you have your starter vehicle, and the game consistently throws you into games against fairly easy AI bots... after that, it's pure learning curve.
I did not find it all that hard to get coins in the game yet, although it's still a bit of a grind.
I will also point-out that while there are always better version of white items, there are many situations in which blue is better than purple and orange.
Some items will get re-balanced, I'm sure.
One thing that can compensate for lack of time/creativity is the ability to access other people's blueprints in-game. It tells you exactly what parts to farm to make that perfect vehicle that pwned you in a prior match... then you can just customize it to make it your own, which can hopefully lesson the time being clubbed and increase the time you spend clubbing. ;)
... or it's a "starter" truck with a high-tier module and a high PS. :3
Does having more than one vehicle in a slot at any given time affect your over-all PS for a match? Like if I have a 3K vehicle and a starter truck, would it use the PS of the one selected or just go with the highest value?
I'll double check. Make sure I didn't save a new bp. But pretty sure I was.
As far as reporting it, I will confirm I am accurate tonight and if this is the case I will report it with screens.
I completely agree with this statement. Once he confirms his part equipment and total vehicle PS, this should be reported to the devs.
The PS spread is currently set to 1,000, so a 1,000 PS player will only see a max of 2,000 PS opponents, and will generally throw you in matches against bots more often... feel free to "seal club" those all day long, as they don't have feelings lol.
In theory, the starter should only go up against up to 1,789 PS.
As far as I am aware, they are planning to lower the spread to about 500 once more people are playing in OBT.
