This was taken from the pack....
"After purchase and return to garage the game will offer you to automatically create new vehicle. You can also do this later - open blueprints menu, pick the vehicle and press "Load".
Purchasing a pack gives the player early access to some structural faction parts. These parts will become available immediately upon purchase and are not re-issued once the corresponding reputation level is reached. For some parts you can only have one set of them on the account. When purchasing multiple packs with same parts they do not stack!
Coins - is an in-game currency, which is used to buy vehicle parts from other users in the market and to pay the rent for the workbench to produce new parts. Note! If you purchase several packs, coins included in them stack!"
This always has been the same, no one pay or not pay will get more non-trade-ables(apaet from one of the pack) than others. Hope this helps.
- Opened the store
- Chose a pack
- Steam menu opened to authenticate
- Paid for steam funds
Didn't see anything up to this point. Where does it show this?
Steam doesnt say you get Armorparts.
But you are right, its not the best description. Ingame you have a better so for the future, better look ingame. There you can even test the packs on your test area.............;)
If you click "all DLC", then click on any pack, read the centre...all said the samething. This game really is free, but new players can benefit from buy a small pack to start them with. Non really need anything after that, but it is players choice.
Small print is something we often missed or not bother with, but it is there. When we sige to play the game, and if we broke any of their rules, they can and will blocked the account, anything you have paid will also be locked.
You get what they say, some Parts and a Picture, maybe Paint and some Funparts, that is what you pay and they give you early access to some structure Parts to build that car.
You dont pay for the structure Parts.
I don't agree.
It does what it say. It help new players with "early access to some parts", kind of like rent, which is free, because when you have added all other trade-able parts and coins, you would still get more than just buy coins.
Anyway, the game basically won't benefit much for players pay real money in or players have more game time per day or players been playing longer.
The value of DLC pack is what each person see it.
In the game itself I'm not seeing anything relating to this. I believe the only time I looked at the homepage in Steam is when I first downloaded the game, sans any packs. I wasn't interested beyond that before I knew anything about in game itself. All of my purchases are done in game. There, it shows no information relating to this. Correct me if I'm wrong?
The only way I've heard about this was via this thread. Had I known that, I would have just purchased the coins instead of the packs. I don't care about the paints or pictures. The structure parts are really the only reason I went with the packs over the coins. I could have bought the items I did get for less overall from the market with the coin packs which give a good bit more bang for your buck.
I'll accept that it says this somewhere but I don't accept that it's not clear in game where most will look first. I blame myself for not noticing the lack of parts after the first pack.
Thanks for the info in any case.
How many of you reviewed Targem's Terms of Service before playing Crossout?
I did. I read everything.
BUT it does strike me that MOST people do NOT read things carefully. They do NOT read the fine print.
So as much as some can say "oh well you should have read the fine print" - the fact is that any functioning business ought to consider just what happens then things are unclear in any way. If a picture is advertised or a pack is offered stating a vehicle is for sale, well, there may be fine print - but don't you REALLY think that fine print is a disservice to customers that they will remember before they make future purchases?
And an unhappy customer is a customer that won't buy things.
Oh, a "customer" that had a bad experience (not assigning blame, simply stating a customer *perceives* they had a bad experience for WHATEVER reason, even if one assigns the responsibility and blame for that on the customer) - such might still go into a store and read the comic books or check out what's new or on sale, but will they BUY things? Not so much, no.
And all the explaining about fine print and things, well, it just really does not work out well.
Too bad Targem doesn't have a pro like me running things.
(free stuff)
No, just click on any of the pack on your steam DLC on crossout.
Then top of the page will show videos and pics. You go down to the next where it say "ABOUT THIS CONTENT" in big letters. right at the centre of the page, just on top of the "system requirements". Sorry I can't take screenshots from steam. You are still better off by pay for a pack and sell of item you don't want as they all add to more coins then just to buy coins. Best time is when they are on offer.
@aardvarkpepper
Some companies can try and do try to let make their customers make mistakes to non-refund-able goods. This is where I do not think Steam or Targem are putting a misleading packs. In fact the "small" or "fine" print is not small, fine or a block of texts, so that it put people off reading it.
As for their marketing and rewarding system. I do agree they are making players feel it is just non stop grinds. Players level-up won't stop them to come back if there are something for them to aim at, anyway more higher level players, mean they are more likely to stay with the game.
The daily bonus should not just be a log on to claim. It should be action claimed, a battle or a raid or a by or sell on the market. Set the bonus for 20 days and the end price should be far better. At the end of the day, it costs dev nothing but some codes, and they can keep players to come back more often. I am happy they have changed the "temp" item from 2 hours to 24 hours, but I still think they should call the "C" grade items as the only can last the given time to use. This way players feel less of "they took my items away". It is just a name, but I make people feel better.
Marketing is the same. They should have look at given a little more to players, random draws, random offers. Offers players can use to by on the market, again it cost them some codings, not real money. This way, even players who spend no money may spend some real money.
chopper's a dev?
ermahgerd the devs read steam forums?
. . . i don't believe it
Haha...say what ever you like, as long as you not breaking the rules. Just don't read my posts!!
