it been roughly four years since ive played, last time i played was on ps4 when trading was still an amazingly expensive thing, and having strong cars was hard to get, especially in higher power scores. but is it still the same as it used to be? is the trading still deep af and hard to keeptrack of let alone afford? is the game p2w? is the game... worth it still

it has a static player base, i believe; few players are playing, but those who play - stay for long; they invested tons of their time, some money and like the game; same people can be met in matches on same days of the week, often

I would play more often if the GMs wouldn't be so trigger happy with the bans. But for me the game is still enjoyable on all Power Scores and I have several builds ranging from low(3000) to high(12000+).
It's much easier to farm daily missions for resources now than ever so thats your best option if you want to get into crossout again.

C'mon dude let's be honest, they make it out to be more than half while simultaneously using enough Steam accounts gone inactive as ghost accounts logging in to get complaints about it. I'd be willing to bet because people who don't play the game report their accounts having been used, those steam numbers AND the total overall playerbase is much lower than some expect. My personal tinfoil hat conspiracy is that the game is on its last leg and artificially inflating its numbers to make whoever their boss is happy and keep the game from being yanked.

That sounds too far fetched and this is a 5 year old game after all, usually people just loose interest in massively playing the a game,

But this game is pretty great. But probably most people isn't into the grind , skill level and creativity level needed to win I guess. But still it's not a new game anymore and usually numbers drop alot by now , but the game is long from dead though. ...alteast technically anyways

It's slowly dying because of the greediness of Publishers called Gaijin.

ONly the blind hardcore fans who invested too much time and money, are still defending this game. Everyone else gave up on this piece of crap (yes it's a fun game but with so many problems)

+ The Devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up some things with a few patches ago , they introduced to a minority of players heavy FPS issues, that still didn't got fixed, and now we have year 2022......

So some of the people who have invested money above 100$ and time above 1-2k are now ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up cause they can't play properly Crossout because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ FPS stuttering, that the devs have introduced and still didn't fixed...

It surprised me how predatory the system is, trying to get people to buy expensive packs/subscriptions/coins and then as if that wasn't enough they got even more greedier and made it so you have to buy stuff with "crosscrowns" that you have to buy with in-game "coins".
I still play the game but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ would it kill them to actually fix glitches and performance issues instead of making more ridiculously overpriced packs just once?

I find I rarely have to wait over a minute for a match, so I'm assuming there are still plenty of players. The Devs are very active & come out with new content on a regular basis. Yes, you do have to pay to get most of the new stuff, but you don't need any new stuff or expensive stuff to be very competitive. They're good about that...

Someone said it's Pay to Progress, which I think is fair since grinding is so slow. It is most certainly not Pay to Win, though. With little skill (like me) and basic weapons, you can tear up some big money players.

Gougein is a money hungry and low ball company basically. They take the path set by *fine folks* like Booby Kraptick for how to gouge and rake in cash while having the loyal diehards do the defending for them. Its a good game, could be a great game, but alas its just another war thunder staggering along into the tar pits.

The game isn't as bad as half the people say it is, don't blame targem just blame it on gajin , targem is just the developer who has to take orders from gajin, to a point
But anything in the shop (not the market) in crossout is optional , you literally don't even need anything there. Unless you want it ,

But they game has changed alot but nothing bad is really happening, it's just that most take it the wrong way and so on and so forth, for the devs and publishers intentions (the shop is big example of there optional purchases)


And no I don't think rhe devs can fix everything without something else breaking or being worse, like match making for example

And I been playing since 2018 and I had no complain on what the devs are doing , but yet again I aint some toxic gaming like some are here (even if they only speak Russian),
But I think the loosing point is that no one new now a days, is willing to be dedicated enough to learn the craft of the gameplay and so on, or aint willing enough to reach endgame, cuz this game is a grindy game to get materials and coins to then craft stuff

I understand people's hate on the cross coins but they most likely had to make a new currency as buying gold coins was useless if you can earn it or buy a pack that will get you reach for cheaper then buying the gold coins themselves, but gold coins used to be only obtained by selling stuff on market or earning them as objectives or crafting something expensive and then selling it , which in the end made buying coins just sorta useless, so making a new currency is sensible and it can be used for other stuff then purchasing gold coins , it can be used for packs or some cosmetics
But keep in mind it's all optional, not that they made it ever so suddely yhay it is optional and you don't need to purchase anything , cuz doing so only makes you progress faster and nothing else when it comes to combat, buying coins and backs will not help you get better in battle or make you win better, no that's up to your skill, build, strategy/tactics and most importantly, everyone else (aka team work, if you can achieve thay for 5 seconds)

Now I'd say more on the matter but we all got somewhere to be

Also let's be honest, we need more spring and winter mayham like events for the other seasons ,
