Buying parts with engineer badges?
The obvious choice with engineer badges seems to spend them on certain resources (eg plastics), however some of those parts look interesting. Trouble is it's hard to tell how useful they would be without trying them out in the workshop, as there's no indication of weld points or actual size.

Does anyone buy parts with engineer badges and is it worth doing so?

If you Right click on a Part featured you can go to Trade Parameters in that Menu it will Circle the Part in the Air and you may grab the Part by Right clicking on the part holding it down over the part as you Move the Part left and Right ...Like turning it in the air. You may Hit "F" and you will see Yellow Blocks Magically appear to show you the Weld Points for any Part! Hit "F" again the Weld Yellow Blocks disappear! :)

I would exchange badges for parts only If I were rich in this game.

Thanks - had no idea you could do that!

I was just wondering if those badge exchange parts were somehow better than anything you can get from the regular factions (which would make them worth getting beyond any aesthetic considerations).

Durability is the want in any Structural Part ,so More (Green) Durability, for less of a Power score or Mass Hit ,If you get my meaning! :steamsalty:

Badges are just points bonus for exchanges for resources or alternate structure parts from whatever featured Faction's Parts are featured each week, they are just a bonus Illusion for a break in what seems like the constant Grind , LOL ...more you put your time in / week!

Oh, I thought that the badge exchange parts weren't the same as the regular faction ones. Having only unlocked Nomads and Lunatics so far, my faction parts selection feels rather limited.
Will wait to unlock some more factions before splashing out on badge parts then.

I spend badges only for resources, as I already have all the structural parts offered there.

The structural parts belong to Founders, since you could only unlock them by completing seasonal challenges, so its an alternative way for those, who have not participated in the event, to get them anyway. It's safe to assume it will work the same way for Syndicate faction structural parts when the event will pass.

Otherwise these parts aren't that different from other factions - they have about the same balancing principles, but of course some parts are uique in their shape and dimensions.

That's the main thing for me at the moment - aesthetics are a luxury. That said I wish there was a bit more variety in the look of engineer/nomad/lunatic parts (they all look like they came from a junkyard).

Are the purple crates the best thing to buy or the resources to craft purples?

on average it took me 3 hours / Day over 380 Hours to have got into ALL Factions and last was Steppwolf and now I am 3 times those hours ...err minus couple hundred : / and I only have All parts for Engineers still so LOL long time to get all parts Until you cap out on Structure parts I believe Level 15 of each Faction...So lots of Subscriptions for Reputation bonuses and or Flags for Craft in Factions which (I put my resources into weapons Crafts ) Instead it is so important to spend up to 3 hours / Day or Less , but complete All your Dailies for Scrap and Copper and use your 200 FREE fuel / Day and choose what Weeklies you want to Use for Plastic and MicroChips for Higher Crafting resources!...But thats what I Do! Your choices May vary. :)

It is always different. CrossoutDB makes the profit calculations every week.
