Appreciate any help.
Thanks
This is a game where you can easly spent 3000 hours and more and you still didn't got all the stuff. unless you throw hundreds of $
you have to level the factions to get their free stuff just like everybody else who started once
Grind&Farm resource 2 craft & sell
Ok thanks, so sandbox it deffinately is not, they should have a sandbox pack for like £50 that gives you all parts, but then treated like a mod where you loose the right to compete online or complete story, just to enjoy the content as a sandbox for people like me,making cars and fighting AI.
I'm self employed with two kids so sadly "gaming" is something i have no time for anymore, which is why i like sandbox games, pay for content and enjoy it however i want in the limited time i have.
So if i bought a pack i guess i get the parts that are on the car in the pack, so i could atleast mix it up with the default truck parts i have to make a cool car? or would I hit a wall of not being a high enough level or something? like very gamey and un sandbox? so far its not looking great.
Edit
Oh sorry missed this bit, and what i expect as you asked is what the game states in the description. "Craft your unique battle machines from dozens of interchangeable parts" which is why i'm shocked that there isn't any parts at all and there doesn't seem to even be a "parts pack" to buy.
Really appreciate more info
thanks
- Naturally structural parts are unlocked as part of gaining reputation with different factions, each having their own set with different mass/durability and style. Reputation can be earned by any method of playing, both PvP and PvE. Gaining reputation also unlocks the ability to craft functional parts of the corresponding faction. That in turn needs materials, which are earned both in PvP and PvE or can be traded on the open player market.
- If you're not interested in the core gameplay at all, then personally I'd see investing money into it as a bit wasteful. It is of course your decision to make.
Thank you thats very helpful, it's a shame as the game looks beautiful and the custom building looks so attractive, I just honestly haven't the time or interest in gamey earnings, I'm an old busy man now at 36 lol.
Its silly really as I'd be happy to buy a tonne of parts for a considerable amount of money so I can enjoy building vehicles to use offline as a "build and use" sandbox style offline battle simulator, but it's a big shame they have over complicated it massively, ruinning the amazing content it hosts and boasts.
I can see the appeal for those who have the time and interest in gaming and earning but I'm sadly most definitely out.
Thanks again for the info.
Looking at Your Profile I noticed You enjoy Racing : D ,If you like with Your most basic parts you can Use the fast cabin (sprinter on a Frame with 4 wheels) and Open my Profile and with the Avatar arrow You can visit my garage and challenge Yourself to The Stunt/Race track I made ...I designed so any player can beat it with the most basic Items, I hope at least this may be a challenge to see what You can create also beyond just the Vehicle builds...Yes! ...I played completely for Free! : D
Thanks that's cool, the thing is I have just stopped sim racing for leagues as I've done it many years on a high level, practicing for upcoming events and building car setups constantly, so I'm looking for some fun rather than the hard work of being a competitive league racer, I'm currently playing Carmageddon max damage "carMODgeddon version" (all content uuhum! Lol), it's great fun, as I loved the old twisted metal games, with crossout i was hoping to buy the content and use it. Silly me, these guys expect you to literally live it grinding or pay hundreds for it.
Thanks though appreciate it.
I took a look at that game, but it just wasn't like this style of building game! and I have to admit with the advent of the syndicate Racing Parts that really enhanced my building as I Love the lighting effects, My Levi never looked better : D
Anyway that's the only other major game I've run across with this level of customization . . .
Thanks guys really appreciate you trying to satisfy my requests, seems like a genuine community here.
I'll check out terratech, i dont mind spending days building bit by bit as it's the part I enjoy most, I used to be a modder so I'm used to that, its just the working to unlock things that are really gamey that I dont like, I'm a simulator / sandbox guy, it's why I have a PC not a console.
Thanks again to all of you.
Nope. Sorry to say this, but if you want that much freedom in building, you're looking at the wrong game. All parts require you to unlock/craft them, and this game is quite grindy,so if you don't have loads of time, then you can't do it.
Thanks that's it in a nutshell.
Maybe another developer will make a game similar where you can actually buy the content and enjoy playing about with it, it would do very well indeed.
To think about it, even if did grind to make an awesome mad max style car with guns, I'd just be blown away by a giant mechanical spider with lazers or something lol.
Giant Spider / w Lasers ..Been done, I think. Of course hours Days and weeks to go through the exhibition ,I avoid it rather than waste time when I could be and..err..DID, build my Dream car, My Leviathan : D
