I could use some tips with the Lil Boy 6lber?
I'm enjoying it but I've noticed:

Pros:

Can aim at any angle
Solid damage
Good for Siege Raids

Cons
Limited Ammo
Projectile drop at range

I took it for a test run but I need to change my play style (used to close range) and my build needs some work too.

ammo crates are good to boost your ammo 4 blue crates=120% more ammo probably more ammo then you'll live to use. (yes they stack im sure the purps do to, I can't confirm it im just assuming since blues do) Personally i'd rather use purps for ammo crates just cant afford 2 at the moment.

There is a reticle on cannon that will help you aim. The little lead lines that go down, just practice with it learn at what range and how much it falls up to w/e range. Burn it into your head lol.

Other then that just play with it, till you master it. (that kinda sound kinky lol) Not sure what else to tell ya, don't try to use it in CQB situations, good way to kill yourself. lol

If you worried about the CQB situation toss you an aerial drone or a shot gun on it aswell cover both long and short ranges. Or toss a distract tactic like side kick, only use it when someone gets to close.

They might not take the bait but the bait still bites the fish ;) If they take the bait give you time to evade a little and line up a cannon round into a nice juicy soft spot.

I'm sure a long time XO player could offer much better advice. This is just how I roll, I always have a plan B. I can't afford my plan C yet lol.

I've seen them used pretty effectively by other players, but i much prefer the mounted cannons. If you rely on their ability to turn too much, you get stuck with that god awful accuracy debuff; whilst you can mount a cannon on a wheel based vehicle and turn just as fast if not faster than a Little Boy and have the benefit of high accuracy at all times. Plus the mounted cannons have a longer effective range as its projectile has less drop off; but that being said, the projectile dip can be used quite effectively in and of itself to shoot over hills in "hull down" positions. Cannons are pretty good on The Bridge map.

LB's perform a little better in closer ranges than the mounted cannon, but those are the type of ranges you ideally don't want to be in in the first place.

Sounds like I need to "git gud" with the avenger type cannon. Fair point sir.

Just my opinion but turrent cannons seem to be meant for non-stacking primary/secondary weapon since cannons can block each others line of sight, cost more energy, but does more damage than the fixed variant, and more bullet drop means it's meant to be used at close-med range.

Nothing wrong with glass cannon fixed cannon strategy as long as you have good aim and nothing sneaks up on your back. Even taking a direct shot from enemy artillery almost usually results in death or a good loss of damage/mobility/ability to aim because of missing wheels.
