Question about engines
Are there any advantages to mounting an engine? I've seen in the description that some raise the vehicle's speed, but some of the more powerful engines are slower. Does this hinder your maximum speed if you mount a powerful engine on an already fast car? Also, what engine do you need to operate Large Wheels? Armored Tracks?

your maximum speed will be limited by slowest part (cabin/engine)
engines increase acceleration and give additional power that helps climbing hills.

1) If the engine speed is greater than the cabin speed, yes. Engine also increases weight capacity, so can help your build run more armor without going into yellow weight.

2) Beats me, I dunno. I can test it in a few hours.

3) You don't need an engine to operate large wheels or armored tracks or anything. Engines are not a must-have component. Probably a good idea to get them but they are not MUST have.

The good engines speed up reload time of cannon & missiles. They are the only thing that does making them invaluable for those types of builds.

engine do not change max speed, but they may increase the acceleration (if they are powerfull enough) You can check directly on you build by adding/removing the engine on the build mode

All that ;) And eveluate IF you "need" an engine or not. Takes 'energy' to have one, AND IF you build properly, you might not need it.

Light engine is an exception; it doesn't use energy.
