I would like to remind you that the game is at the closed test and we are testing approaches in different game aspects including the matchmaker. We hope that your information will help in the development.
Could you please provide more specific data on the points you've mentioned:
1) 1000 difference. Could you please tell what level you are, your PS, the time and region you are playing.
This high difference in PS is not usual and we need to figure out why you are experiencing it.
2) This is also very unusual. The thing is that MM doesn't take into consideration the weapon's type. Plus the crafting freedom and the vatiety of the weapons the players have. So could you please tell how often do you experience this? When?
3) this one is tricky. It all depends on the team's actions. If all the members stay together and act as one they have more chances to win than the players who spreaded all around the map, even if they have higher PS.
Actually in the 2000-3000 PS range it is quite normal to be 2300(ish) and end up in a game with 3000-3300. It happens all the time, I just figured this was intended match making. I've noticed 2300 seems to be a hard break point, if you go over 2300 I seem to be more likely to encounter this issue. I have region set to (Any) since setting region to NA basically means you'll never find a match.
This issue may already be ironed out, I honestly haven't played in about month, since the last reset was announced, I'm waiting for the reset to start playing again, I see no reason to grind just to have it wiped in another month or two.
Testing the grind, just to get wiped lol pass.
Good luck in battles.
I still think if player skill ( simply the total win/loss) affected matchmaking slightly it would make all the difference.
PvP is fine though it just needs more players.
*Keep in mind that my biggest complaint is the bots, the actual player grouping seems to be fine.
From what I can tell the whole power score system is flat out broken when it comes to matchmaking. I was tired of going against bots with massively overpowered weapons (I'm still a new player, about a week in, with only the blue machine guns and shotguns), so I dropped my PS down to the 2k, and under 2k, and I'm still getting grouped with the same 3k-3.8k bots. I've had them as high as 4.8k while running a 2.2k vehicle. If I get the chance to spectate when coming into a match, I'll count how many mammoth cannons the bots have, and if there's too many I just go back to the hanger.
After really paying attention the past few days I've come to the conclusion that whatever team has the most bots with big cannons, wins. This is almost always the case. They're just too well equipped, too aware, and too accurate.
If there is one reason this game sucks (and overall it has been fun, and I would not say it sucks on the whole. It's rather enjoyable) It's the F2P model that nickle and dimes you. Can't I just buy a game and play it anymore ffs? Anyways RIP whatever it will cost me to get more ♥♥♥♥ to build with, hopefully this does not chase off the buddies I made a gift of the game too over the holidays.
Having a ton of fun so far, though I would rather see some form of season pass than the micro transaction route. Let me pay a flat rate to open the game up. Not $60 for one new vehicle and (I assume?) the parts required to put it together. That's robbery for an in game asset. Hopefully I am just missing something and there is a way to grind some stuff out without having to resort to the market. Am ingame market which appears to be balanced as such to convince one they must buy more, as the costs and effort are very high otherwise....
This guys 2 cents anyways.
Everytime, one of the team get wrecked completely without killing a single player. This is the proof that this game is not balanced at all. You either lose without enjoying the game, or you win without enjoying the game. And since you are not fully geared Pay-to-win, even when winning you can't kill anyone because Pay-to-win players steal kill... resulting in 0 XP even if you won the game :'D
I am an Xbox One player and let me tell you: I just uninstalled the game after it froze twice in 20 minutes. I tried to create an acount on their website and I just can't. All username are already taken but when you search for members, they just don't exist. This was too much.
Actually, do yourself a favor: Try it and see for yourself; it will make all your next video games enjoyable!
1. It is not necessary to provide level, PS, &c. When one player that has a 4K vehicle (for example) invites a 1K vehicle player into a group then starts a game with them, most of the players on both teams will have around 4K, except that 1K player.
As to why players would do that, the most common reason I've seen is "we're buddies" or "we're trying something new" or whatever. But I've seen it happen with at least two different couples.
2) When one team has a bunch of Caucasus you can't shoot off, fuze drones that they drop around blind corners so you have no reaction time, etc etc, then whichever team has more imbalanced stuff can just steamroller the other team.
This is also true for groups. Sometimes you see the same players in the same groups joining games, and they all are super powerful builds. OR sometimes you see bad groups that have bad builds, same thing but in reverse, the team they're on is crippled.
3) Even if a team sticks together, better vehicles and weapons can win it.
4) this thread is so necro
