- Most of the veterans usually rofl when they read something like this, I'm just gonna say that hovers used to be double, or maybe even triple faster than they are now and players knew how to counter them even back then.
- Can't really tell because I never look or use the shop, but anything you want from the shop you also have at the market.
- Yes it is, until you realize that it's not slow but actually never-ending.
- They already redesigned it a few times in order to make it easier for new players to use.
- I payed a tones of taxes from tones of all kind of stuff that I sold in past 3 years already and why should anyone have a better condition now.
- What about turrets and air drones? Drones were nerfed multiple times already and there's nothing special about them since that there are so many ways to counter them.
- Maybe so, but apparently they don't have better options and maybe fear of making it even worse if they remove it.
- 100% agree with the map voting for sure
- Phoenix is terrible, it's huge, too heavy, very poor durability, it can be shoot off after successful shot, explosion took forever to happen, it's a epic weapon that basically have no perk at all and it needs to be buff! What I want to say is that there's always someone with something getting nerf or buff around here.
"Vets" can laugh all they want because they're still way too fast and a bit over powered considering there is no low level version of the flyer so you're stuck with forward backward car like movements where people who paid get to move left and right freely.
"- I payed a tones of taxes from tones of all kind of stuff that I sold in past 3 years already and why should anyone have a better condition now."
So the game should never get better? Keeping a terrible aspect of a game just for the sake that in the past players had to deal with it is frankly dumb.
The problem with Drones is they're not Player skill based and more AI/PVE type game play which the whole point of the game was to be PVP arena style combat.
Better options is easy, just have a few select game modes that players choose to play
Such as King of the Hill,Capture the Flag, Chain Link ect.
If they keep the game the same then it's going to get boring and players will leave. (Which let's face it most players have) so they need to improve.
I don't use the TOW and I don't ever see it in game, When I did use it I realized why no one uses it. It's got the worst damage and has been nerfed to the point it might as well not be in the game.
Which is funny because the more expensive one (maybe just because they want you to buy more gold) is hella good with tons of damage. I mean seriously why use a TOW when it does 100 damage when you could use a stupid low level machine gun and do 300 damage in the time it takes to shoot the damn thing.
But anyways,
The PVP needs to be ALOT less AI-ish and more PVP focused. Also this game feels weird when it comes to the community, Call of Duty,Battle Field,Name a Game has a vibe of community about it. This game... feels dead.. and not just player count. I mean.. no community kinda vibe.
Bots aren't exactly made to replace players. They're still can be used at least as meat shield, destroying enemy bots faster can give you an advantage, and some models are quite lethal if the player is not careful.
~ Hover crafts are way to fast (some I've seen so fast that it's near impossible to hit)
Not really. They have a speed limit unlike wheels. Some weapons are better against them, some are worse. Crossout is far from being the first game where the system of counters is present - never expect your weapon to be good against everything.
~ Cash shop prices need to be reduced.
They won't be. If you cannot afford something, depending on the perspective, it is either your own problem or not a problem in the first place. Reducing prices won't make me spend more - it will make me get more for the same desired investment, which would be unfair to everyone, who got less rewards prior. Lowering the prices because people can't allegedly afford something is not how economics generally work.
~ Player Progress is too slow
Yes, when you're playing for free. If you want for the progression to be decent, get scanner subscription. Free-to-play is kind of a privelege that allows anyone to try the game for as long as they want and to decide what the game is worth for themselves.
~ Mission select screen is bad, redesign is needed.
It is easy to claim something is bad. It is much harder to tell what's better. Personally I see no problem with current design, especially being aware of what it was before.
~ Item taxes when selling items needs to be removed from the game.
Sale tax plays two important roles in the game - it works as a sink for coins, that maintains its value on a stable level, and it prevents lossless exchange of supply, where people can abuse and manipulate market for profit. It stays.
~Wheeled drones are non-skill based weapons which gets boring to play with and annoying to play against.
There's skill in using any weapon in the game. It's just not limited to marksmanship. If something is boring for you to play, that's not the problem of the game.
~Capture points A B C is dumb, Just do team death match because that's what it comes down to honestly.
It's ironic. Something is dumb, so lets make it even dumber? If in fact the game would always come down to TDM, then there will never be a match, where you win or lose by capture, but that's far from reality. Capture points simply offer alternative winning conditions and introduce tactical decisions, that otherwise would not exist.
~Instead of finding a new lobby of people just sync the same players again if they don't quit so getting to the next game is faster. ALSO NEXT MAP VOTING! PLEASE!
If people do not quit, there's little to stop them from entering another match immediately as it is.
Map voting is largely redundant, especially for the game with match duration this short. At least it ended up completely redundant for Mechwarrior Online, where matches last up to 20 minutes.
~TOW is terrible and needs buff. (no one uses it anymore because it sucks so bad)
It's 5 energy of firepower. I don't know what exactly you're expecting from it, but I personally use it to reduce the number of hovers in the lobby by reliably exterminating them (sometimes in one hit).
What TOW are you using that's ever doing a 1 hit because I be hitting them spider legs for days and not getting one leg to pop off.
~ ----- Yep, they definetly need a rework
~ ---- "Impossible to hit" is a problem with your aim, not with them, the problem with hovers is how brutally slow everything else is (and is not even the speed, since the hover ones is already slower, but the acceleration on wheels that are the part that should compete with them is abysmal)
~ ---- Agree, they in fact are losing money because of it, me and a few others I play are not buying packs that we would if they costed less
~ --- Agree again, but thats the only way the can think of to hide the lack of content the game has
~ --- Eh... I really have no opinion in this one, if it comes, great, if not, is fine XD
~ ---- Maybe, but they need to cut the players profit to incetivate them to spend real cash (it doesn't work necesarily well tho)
~ ---- Agree with the first part, not with the second, any fast weapon vaporizes drones before they get into their attack range
~ --- Yes, I've always said the game has only one mode, and that's why it becomes repetitive.. More modes that are in.. Well.. Basically every multiplayer game need to be added
~! --- Map voting would be awesome, yes :D
~ ---- They ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the tow big time.. They did an update a long time ago when they went "Let's change this stat of the weapon by 75% nothing can go wrong with that" they made it brutally powerful, they nerfed it and now that fancy energy costing decoration is what we have
I agree, bots in this game are horrible and mostly useless.
~ Hover crafts are way to fast (some I've seen so fast that it's near impossible to hit)
If you cannot play against hovers, it's your skill with the game and not the game. We encounter hovers daily and always manage to beat them (almost at least). Just take down their hovers and they don't move anymore, they break fast.
~ Cash shop prices need to be reduced.
The shop is ridiculously overpriced and that won't change, the devs seem to be the basic greedy russian people they often are in the "free to play" games. That is why russian devs are the ones who make free to play games. The easiest scam over people with the least effort put into it.
~ Player Progress is too slow
Player progress indeed is way too slow and punishing. This is the reason why I don't bother playing that much nor bother collecting resources. Its faster to sell what you get and purchase what you need as items.
~ Mission select screen is bad, redesign is needed.
I don't know what is wrong with your mission select screen but I do like it, it's different from other games as it is. Of course it could tell a bit clearer what type of missions there are without actually clicking anything first.
~ Item taxes when selling items needs to be removed from the game.
I agree with this, the item selling is nice thing to have but the tax on it is just ridiculous. The trading happens with "real money" basically since most people get their coins through one or two first time purchases they make with the shop. Taxing people for using the in game selling system is just r-tarded but you know these devs.
~Wheeled drones are non-skill based weapons which gets boring to play with and annoying to play against.
Wheeled drones are one of the easiest to destroy. You can ram the drones, you can shoot the drones, you can basically fart on them and they break. They are squishy af and only actual danger from wheeled drone is the grenade drone. All the rest of the drones, wheels or no wheels are horrible and should be buffed. On top of that "Summoner" cars like these are squishy because drones etc. increase quite a lot of the power level.
~Capture points A B C is dumb, Just do team death match because that's what it comes down to honestly.
Capture the points is great, I personally like them. The problem is not the gamemode, it's the people. The people who play this game seems to be so braindead r-tarded that they should be dead in real life by now but for some reason have survived. They don't understand what "capture" means or "objective". This issue is in basically all of the gamemodes, people won't do objectives or capture points and end up losing the game because of that. It can be frustrating but it's just a game, you don't get punished (other than less resources per game) for losing so it doesn't matter.
~Instead of finding a new lobby of people just sync the same players again if they don't quit so getting to the next game is faster. ALSO NEXT MAP VOTING! PLEASE!
Sync the same players again... This is exactly what the fudge is happening with the game matchmaking. You can lose 100 times in row and end up against that same team continuously. The matchmaking sucks in this game. Half the team is useless bots usually and the other half is just useless humans not doing the objectives.
~TOW is terrible and needs buff. (no one uses it anymore because it sucks so bad)
Tow is indeed terrible, so is Pyre and all other low end missiles. Tows idea is that you have full control over the fly path, but it sucks. It really does suck.
With the menu system what I want is for them to make it simple, screw the map thing.
Just PVP | PVE
TDM RAID the farm
DM RAID the house
CTF RAID ur momma sweet a$$.
ChainLink
w/e
You get the idea, just make it simple instead of me having to click on each one to figure out wtf is going on.
Oh and you right about that greedy russian developer. Seriously every game they touch has a cash shop like this one where you're paying $400 for a good item. Crazy.
Also I agree most players are dumb af and will get themselves killed 30 seconds into the game and man that resource gather sucks.
What I'd like more is a ticket system, maybe respawn a few times so it's an actual fight instead of these bleeps of playing.
Well its not Players vs Bots. It's Players vs Players + bots, when there's not enough players to make full teams with. They're needed to sustain the same score ranges and earning potential without keeping people waiting to play more that is reasonable, given the duration of an average match.
Maybe you haven't seen what I've seen but the hovers vs wheeled vehicles and especially track is over powered. The ability to move in all directions freely at such incredible speed is a game changer. Plus a major disadvantage to players who can't afford such a large investment.
No they are not. They're massive and brittle as all hell, and there's plenty of ways to fight them. Just because you're using the weapon that is bad against mobile targets doesn't make mobile targets OP. I can easily argue the same way and call Goliath tracks and Big Foots overpowered, cherry-picking their positives, but that will never prove they are.
It's a problem, You can pretend that it's not and gladly be milked by this company but for most players, spending $400 on one weapon which is the same price as an XBOX ONE is insanity.
Does the game costs $400 to play? Does it forces you to spend anything? NO. Nobody is milking you - every payment you do is at your own discretion. Weapon prices are set by players, not developers. Much like everything you've stated so far, it your problem with the game, which you unwittingly present as problem of the game as a whole.
Some of the packages are $30-60 which is the price of a FULL AAA GAME. So what does that do? It creates a PAY TO WIN game which is why every lobby is FULL of BOTS because most everyone has ditched this game due to it's gross cash shop.
There are no standards to what the developer can offer players and the price ranges. If something is too expensive, then people will not buy it, period. There's really nothing I can add here other than your personal opinion does not define the standards of industry. The game is objectively not pay-to-win.
I love this idea I keep hearing, Let's keep the game terrible because people in the past had to deal with this one terrible mechanic. I get maybe YOU have spent a ton of money in this game and want to keep your "Investment" but honestly it's a major turn off for a lot of people.
I've spent a grand total of $30 in over 2,5 years. If people care about money they don't have so much, that's their problem to solve, not a problem of the game.
If not explain to me how the game struggles to get like 16 people into a match, I don't think apart from a hand full of times have I ever had an actual game of nothing but players.
Why do I have to explain this every time? Are people became so stupid they can't figure anything out on their own? It depends on your region and how popular the game in that region. It also depends on the time of day, since nobody plays any game 24/7. Then you consider how many matches are being launched every minute, how wide the Power Score range in PvP is, and how many other modes are geing played at that same time.
The whole problem here, is that you've became convinced of the narrative, and see every single "issue" you have with the game as related to that narrative, instead of thinking of it as separate cases.
Low progression = players quitting the game = empty matches full of bots = premium players quitting the game = less money = game shut down.
Consider this mentality, Every other game gives 2x exp weekends, this game gives you 1.5x
Gee, got no clue why the game is dying when half of the game is behind a stupidly over priced pay wall and the player progression sucks more than Maple Story.
Prove that the game is dying, taking into account the fact that 12k+ individual players participated in the New Year event. If you can't handle progression, go play some casual ♥♥♥♥, that was designed for people just like you.
Uh, No it's actually way easier to tell what's better.
How about instead of the stupid map they just have the game modes displayed in sections of
PVP | PVE |
TDM Raid Base 1
DM Some other stupid name
CTF
ChainLink
If the icon doesn't tell you what it's about then it's a bad icon, if the visual representation of the GUI isn't instantly understandable then the developer FAILED! I shouldn't have to read anything beyond a couple short words.
Yeah, the "hot coffee cup" argument. People generally are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded, so lets design the game in a way that even an imbecile can figure it out and we won't need to teach them how to remember and think about things. Sorry, but developers are not obligated to hold the bar low enough for you to step over it if you're too lazy to jump.
You can't manipulate the market because it won't allow you, plus why do we need a coin sink? Because you want to give the developers even more money after you spent $60-$100+ on this game.
How so? What would prevent me to buy items in-bulk and then resell them for higher price, for example?
No. We need coin sink to maintain the stability of the market. It's a matter of school-grade economics, and I will not waste my time explaining that to you given your attitude.
Let's say that was true, Why do we even need to sell things to each other? Wouldn't a AI ran store be better where I can always sell my items instantly and always buy the item I want.
Selling items and Buying items from players doesn't make this game anymore fun but add more annoying features like taxes or the stupid wait timers to sell items.
Because player-player market allows them to define the value of all tradeable items by consensus, rather than being forced into prices enforced by developers. You can instantly sell anything you want right now, but the money you will get from it depends on what people are willing to pay for it. Player markets and item auctions (including sale fees) is far from being something new.
Case and point 30 mins to get a cabin on the market (Which I just leave and go play something else) which I bet a lot of players did and never came back.
Again, You can buy and sell anything instantly by accepting the orders already present. You also can calculate the average between the highest buy order and lowest sell order to get approximate true value of the item, and in my experience its the fastest way to buy or sell anything quickly with minimum losses. If you cannot buy or sell something on the market, that simply means your assesment of its value is incorrect.
Really skill? You call using a radar and staying 500m away from a player and hitting 1 button skill. LOL That's not skill, it's more AI in a overly Bot infested game.
Skill is finding and targeting this player, that isn't just going to pulverize your drones on the spot, and staying alive while you're practically defenseless while also hitting the enemy team where it hurts the most in a meaningful way. Don't like it - don't use it. Honestly, from multiple imput points you've expressed, it seems like you're a regular cannon-nerd, who sees everything that counters you as a problem of balance.
The capture points are dull and boring, There is many other more exciting game modes than.
Capture these points, now capture that point, now kill these players REPEAT!
Sorry but no.. it's a dumb game mode when left by it's self like they have.
And what are these "exciting" game modes? You're literally just suggested to remove even the capture points as well and make it even more boring and straightforward, didn't you? Like, I simply cannot understand how it is not a self-defeating line of thinking.
It's not redundant. I'd much rather be able to vote for maps I like over being forced to play ones I don't. Also that's a lie, sometimes I'll wait for another match for 3mins before I get back in.
So you're willing to wait even longer while you vote every time? Does people in other regions, who literally never wait more than 6 seconds before the next match starts and see no bots until going past midnight, are supposed to care about what you rather do and like?
What TOW are you using that's ever doing a 1 hit because I be hitting them spider legs for days and not getting one leg to pop off.
And what is it supposed to do with that leg? A 5-energy weapon is supposed to destroy one of the most durable movement part in one shot? Does any other 5-energy weapon can do that?
I mean, if you're using a weapon, which you can fire from any cover into any other cover across the half of most maps, directly control where it goes and what the target will be, and you see a heavily armored target and choose it over more mobile but vulnerable target somewhere else, aren't you're just acting as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with critical thinking skills of a toadstool?
Sure, the games has its things that could be better. But for the most part I'd say it's pretty well balanced.
I backed this game when it was closed beta, and the reward I got for that you can pretty much craft yourself fairly quickly. (Unsure about the cosmetic stuff)
Sure, you can spend a bunch of money and get the bling ♥♥♥♥ right from day one, but you will likely get rekt anyway until you learn the ways of the apocalypse. No amount of money will help you land a typhoon hit from a long way away.
So when it comes to real money purchases, it's either you personal idea of value or just an easy target to rip on.
But hey, I guess some people like spending $60 on the game then get taxed on their purchase. I guess some people don't want to see the problems even though like the fan boy above you said "Not enough people to fill a match" Nope no problems at all...
