Samething happened to me.Go to your crossout installation folder steam>>steamapps>common>crossout
you can find EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
click on it it will show repair.
That's all

I'd just loaded the game in and when I was in the garage I switched on my Xbox1 slim controller for PC windows 10 and anti cheat booted me that instant.

Anti cheat is broken or is just thick as 2 short planks.
