Rule 2 build repair kits
Rule 3 Use weapons with tons of dmg (3x crickets as example)
Rule 4 Use obstacles to hide from enemy fire
Rule XYZ Pray for Luck (levi build)
Best way to do levi raids is with teammates and synergize weapons and builds
As for the build... I tried 6.5k ps today and it was super easy. Before I was at 11.5k ps, while others in my team had 13k+ ps, and we got wiped in such a manner I was sure we had no chance. Guess it's better to stay on low ps, and also down to luck when it comes to leviathan.
Overall pretty lousy game mode, I wish they would put more effort into it since everyone can build leviathans, but there is just this single random way of using them. Gonna avoid this until they improve it.
It is generally better to stick with average PS around 7-8k, where you can offer a sufficiently balanced craft, but without facing an Goliath-armored walker with Mammoths lookingn in every direction. I personally use a 8.5k Spider mech with triple Crickets. That's enough to at least get the 2 wins out of three.
I would advice against the use of additional Repair Kits, because using one will almost entirely undercut the benefit of winning the Invasion over losing it. It's only a decent option if you're playing as a team.
^ Fixed that for you and I agree. It seems the more armor your vehicle has no matter where increases the armor of your cabin, loosing said armor therefore also decreases cabin HP.
So it might be worth it to have a large cabin soak the damage so that multiple pieces of armor aren't destroyed by the potential failure of a few that end up holding several other pieces, also it's best to have your weapons either on the cabin or the chases or otherwise only mounted on very durable parts, because of the part the weapon is mounted on is destroyed so is your gun.
I see a surprising amount of vehicles that mount their guns in such a way that shredding them is the easiest thing to do and often happens unintentionally from some random damage source.
As for winning versus leviathans, build strong vehicles and cheese it by using cover. If their radar is exposed take it off and the AI will go blind not shooting at anything outside a few feet away, if it's not then taking off guns is always a good idea. Often a good idea is to ram them so that they get flipped or are lifted so that they can't hit anyone, but sometimes this fails for various reasons and you just end up staring them in the face which results in your death quite often, but it can be a rewarding strat.
