Crossout still region locked????

The title pretty much says it all... and if it is region locked on steam, is there a way i can work around it?

I tried searching for it on Steam and steam says that it cannot find my search querey, Then when i tried going through google, beautiful error message that says its region locked... so do i need to first go through Crossout.net before getting it on steam?

No, that means you won't be able to get it on Steam anyway, but playing through crossout.net should be fine.

Yep. not a single african country on that list. good to know that we cant get cool games... or good internet... or just good leaders but hey. not your problem or anyone elses.

thanks for the list Ryuu. i iwll be sure to get it from Crossout then... quick question though, does the crossout client have like a launcher (kind of like World of Warships and LoL) or is it like old ETS2 where you download all game files and updates through browser and tyhen instal them?

It has a launcher that downloads updates. Pretty much every MMO has one nowadays.

I still don't understand a reason for region locking. I know they do have chinese partner that handles that region, maybe there are some plans for others too or something? Still that partner has separate website instead of separate version of the game on Steam, so doesn't make a lot of sense.

Meh, its beyond me either man. I am from and the only things i know get region locked in South Africa (where i live) are movies with the DVD region lock and others like it. first time i ever saw a game getting region locked though. Most of the products we get here in SA fall under the European (British) region and as such, all the things available to them, we can get too. only other time i got region locked was on YouTube when my friend asked to look at a video on the Queen of Great Britain and it was region locked to Great Britain only.

I dont care honestly as long as i can play the game when i download the client files and play with my friends
