The problem is that the PS's don't accurately represent the current components actual practical value. Which the Developers acknowledged in their last major announcement no less.
Anyway, as for balance - I recently had one match where I had THREE machine guns blown off of my truck, a tire, and and one of my two "knives" all within about 1/2 second, or maybe less. That's unlikely to occur when only two enemies are shooting at you from long range with low-end machine guns. I could understand one or two weapons being damaged, but not all four knocked completely off my truck at practically the same time. I don't see how that's fun, or balanced. Also when having a tire or two blown off - I have a car jack - why can't I spend 2 minutes installing spares? Obviously this is a raid issue, once you have both tires blown off, you're useless. Either let other vehicles tow you with tow cables, ropes, chains or a harpoon or implement the option to carry spare parts/tires and do (shoddy, obviously) field repairs.
You could do so much with this game concept, don't let it just be a poor vehicle based FPS.
Game has enough of hidden mechanics and know-how.
Hard to say anything else without screenshots or videos or seeing your build on Exhibition. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No, those are intended mechanics(frame propagating damage for example) but i would also like to know what they are not explained in the game and some stats on items are also not shown
There are however exploits not intended by developers - like those wedge builds and like which most likely needs to be dealt with.
Don't get so salty about being pwned. If you want progress - make a suggestion on official game forum instead, Steam hub is only read by moderators occassionally and mostly is used for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No progress here.
Thanks, glad you like some of my ideas.
I also appreciate the explanation. I didn't know about the frame causing other things to be damaged when it's directly linked to something. That does somewhat explain how I can get killed easily or things break, or fall off, quickly sometimes, especialy if I have a fuel barrel kicking around. I'll make sure to place weapons and other things on something other than the frame from now on.
p.s. Jackyl - simmer down a notch. Ryuu is just trying to explain things.
1) Cabin, you won't lose it until you die.
2) Shot-through parts(read description, not every grill has this property). They survive longer under fire(but very vulnerable to melee though) so it's likely your weapon would get blown off earlier. Preferebly they should be attached directly to cabin themselves. Gun mounts are just awesome for that, but not gun tower. And turn them upside down to have a bigger area to place guns, my Leviathan has 80% of its weapons placed on just two Gun mounts(you can't get more alas).
3) Frame is also fine if it's not highly exposed for ramming and shooting.
In other cases try to place it on most different parts as you can.
You're a good listener, so i also suggest reading nice tips from devs themselves:
