Graphics glitch between UI and map on Linux
So, I'm running Arch Linux, x86_64, Steam-Native, quad-core AMD processor, integrated graphics with OpenGL support, and 12G RAM. I'll gladly share any further status y'all request to diagnose the problem.

As for the symptoms: large visual artifacts appear in between the UI layer (toolbars, buttons, etc) and the map layer (planets, units, stars). If a UI element attempts to draw in an area that's currently glitched, it will sometimes correct that area.

Additionally, there's an intermittent lag in mouse-click responsiveness. Sometimes clicking is only recognized a half-second later, and likewise with releasing.

I'd appreciate any advice y'all have for troubleshooting this. Thanks.

Best place is the forums. There are a couple of Linux people who can help.

Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date.

For a slow game UI go into game Settings > Server and make sure Multi-Threading is turned on.
And review https://wiki.palobby.com/wiki/UI_is_Slow

If that does not help, open a new ticket at https://support.planetaryannihilation.com/index.php

I don't think the drivers are the issue here. The Coherent UI is likely at play. It happens on all Mesa drivers, from what I could see. (I play No Man's sky and the witcher 3 with those same drivers, as well as a plethora of other games, without issues, and the corruption issue in PA has been present for me since launch).

I can get rid of most of the corruption (or the most annoying parts of it anyway) by toggling fullscreen with alt+Enter. When I select a builder, I just hover over the lower part of the screen to make the construction menu appear.
