Cavedog Entertainment
Cavedog released SIX units on their website "The Boneyard" for $0, which is half the units in this $13-$30 "update."

They were, for the sake of keeping the memory of free content patches:

Arm - "Scarab" - a Mobile Anti-Nuke
Arm - "FARK" - a Fast Assist Repair Kbot (medic)
Arm - "Flea" - a Scout Kbot
Core - "Necro" - a Necromantic Kbot that rebuilt the dead from scraps
Core - "Hedgehog" - A Mobile Anti-Nuke
Core - Immolator Plasma Tower

But in all seriousness, Cavedog was an amazing company at an age when video gaming was less popular and less money driven. Uber is just fitting in with other game companies like EA and Ubisoft in delivering as little as possible for a high price tag. That way, you maximize profits for either shareholders or the company executives.

I agree. The medium is just disposable chaff at this point. Amid the "F2P" refuse, DLC extravaganza, terrible walking simulators, and Minecraft clones, developers who stand out become the paragons.

It is as if Uber didn't see what happened with the "One Year Edition" of "State of Decay."

Hahaha yeah that's actually a really good point. State of Decay should have taught the industry many lessons... alas....

Let's be honest, Uber didn't make a game, they sold one. Why give a damn about quality when you can have an army of moderators like Stuart shoving false information down people's throats and sell your game for a profit anyway. Making a "good game" is no longer the norm in this industry. The norm is about hyping up your game to sell copies to fund your next game. This is what Uber tried to do with PA and Human Resources.

Human Resources failed miserably and it was still quite close to the very successful PA kickstarter. When I review it I put it down to a lack of trust between the community and Uber. If I was Uber my goal would be to try and grow that trust and to try to foster positive relationships with that community to ensure that my company could be relevant for many years.

If I didn't want to do that I'd instruct my moderators to argue on the forums and to try to kill any chance of my company having a decent relationship with the top games distributor on the planet. I guess that's why Uber has moved out of games now and in to other stuff ---- or didn't they tell you? :D

edit: i dont want to post it here because it's mean but I will PM you (if you PM me first) the details of Uber's CEO's new company that the funds of PA:T are going to provide for.

You mean his VR project? It's public knowledge.

It's even on his LinkedIn page.

Yes his VR project. Honestly, how else will he be funding this? From his night job in the supermarket stacking shelves or do you think he realized it needed funding and PA was perfect for it? :)

I don't mind a company raising capital to further future projects but when it is under the flag of something else it really reminds me of a word called Deception.
