Target priority
Is there a way to prioritize a specific unit in a group of enemy units? For example aa.

Issue an attack order against it. Units remember this target until it is destroyed or a stop order is issued, and will prioritise it where possible.

So if you attack one specific type of unit, the untis will keep attacking that kind of unit in the blob?

One specific unit, not one specific type. Targetting priorities by type are defined within the unit weapon file and require mods to change.

Some units do have prioritization baked in to them like most Anti-Air will target Bombers/Transports/Icarus first before targeting fighters. Its generally preferred that prioritization are kept low as different players have different reasons to target different sources, such as a bluehawk attacking either orbital, fabbers, artillery, structures, and so on and its only implemented if its not easy to target something fast moving consistently.

That dying thing we call micro?

So do air to ground untis prioritize aa?

They do, but it is almost always more effective to micro target the AA unit you want to destroy. In the case of Bumblebees, if you were to move your units into visual range of a group of vehicles with spinner AA trucks then you are probably going be getting shot at. So if you were to queue an area attack, then the units will complete their move, drop their speed, acquire a target then do a go around to start a bombing run. In this time they will likely get shredded.

Better to issue a direct, un-queued attack order on the spinner the moment they come into view. Then your bombers don't drop their speed and drop all the bombs on the desired target. It is worth noting the bombers will drop their bombs when moving over enemy targets regardless of whether an attack order is issued or not, so you may get better results by simply issuing a move order slightly behind the target unit so your bombers bunch up and drop the bombs, rather than using area attack and leaving it to the gods as to whether your bombers chose the target you want to hit. With larger groups of bombers it can be effective to just move over the group and give no attack orders at all. The key is you don't want to drop your speed and break up your group, as your aircraft can end up hanging about inside the fire zone of the AA and they will get shot down in very little time. It is better to miss the target and get clear the other side than have this happen.

8 bombers can destroy the static AA tower in a single pass, but where there are batteries of AA in 2's they are better to be avoided, and taking on static AA in batteries of 3 or 3 or more spinners with T1 aircraft is usually suicide. Keep your aircraft intact and mobile and look for weaker targets.
