I keep getting updates, but what are they?

I keep getting 30-40mb updates. Today's was 90mb. Where are the patch notes?

Why is the update notes hidden from the general public in a discord server that (I presume) not everyone is a member of or are aware exists? Like I JUST learned that there was a discord server for the game...

I think most of the small patches are just hotfixes for the the main new patch.

Consultant Update 1: Hotfix

General

Added 112 new Hidden CSG Terrain elements to the System Editor

Bug fixes

Orbital Ranked Maps will now have the correct spawns
Levelers less likely to miss
Skitter dummy weapons no longer has a muzzle flash and firing sound
Updated Unit Cannon description to correctly reflect that its maximum capacity is 16 instead of 12

UI

Replaced start menu web browser button with ggLeaderboards! https://ggleaderboards.com/lobby
Added Bug Faction mod Icon to the lobby browser
Added a recent systems tab to the lobby system selector which saves your last 5 selected maps)
Added Icons that track what planets allied commanders are on (spectators can see all commanders)

I don't know about that one, the stuff I posted above is the 'notes from yesterday (latest update).

I mean it even says hotfix in the title nothing in there that is is changing balance or affecting game play that need its own steam page, most people wont care and for the ones that do it's in the discord.

Most people (I think) probably don't know about the discord, like me, I found out about it in this very thread even though I've been playing the game on-and-off since it came out.

There is a link to the Pa discord in the home screen of the game, and also a link in the pinned comment's on this forum.

I mean I get what your saying, but it's not like they deliberately trying to hide it.

I think there could be a pinned forum post for hotfixes specifically, as the events+announcements section is more large scale and wide reaching and is perhaps not necessary for hotfixes

I've just posted the notes on the steam discussions now. The updates should still come through on the steam news page as we released one of those.
