Yeah, lets fight a comp with full access to all units with my T1 vehicles only commander. great design. Are there cheats for this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?

I have pretty much figured out the strategy of the game now. Rush battlecruisers, nothing else matters. This isn't an indie game, why is it so shallow? And who designed the awful campaign mode? Who thought it was a good idea to only allow basically one unit type?

That works with AI lol. Don't do that if your going play MP.

Install the Galactic War Overhaul mod - https://planetaryannihilation.com/guides/galactic-war-difficulty-and-adding-more-maps/

You'll get more Commander options as well as an "Easier Start" option so that you can tech up faster.

It is an indy game, and it's not shallow at all it's just the depth of the game becomes more apparent when playing against good human players.

The best bots are only marginally better than players who've only just started putting effort into learning the strategies in the game. Vanilla AI are not good practice at all but at least help with basics, Queller (which is now also a part of the main game) are good for building good habits and a milestone marker (Bronze to Uber) of how far you've come, but Q-Uber is only as good as low Silver Rankings. The community is the real meat and potatoes of the game with many mods that add new units, a whole new factions (and another being worked on), and plenty of friendly players willing to show you the ropes. Galactic War really is lacking (though the mod to improve is makes it genuinely fun) and certainly should not be considered the main experience, nor a good new player experience as sad as that may be.

Though this is just my opinion, why not join the discord? Or click on the ladder rankings and watch some games pros have played?

Well, mostly because I have already moved on to a better game, Ashes of the Singularity

Ashes is a good game but for me there was not enough unit variation that and going back to flat map's was a step down in depth. Tbh I think sup com Faf is still a better game than Ashes.

thats called a challange part and even on highest difficulties i have not really a problem
(mod difficulties, the vanilla diff is a freaking walk in the park)

if you play enugh you can unlock a commander that has the normal start with all units and all stuff
