Help! How to fix loading time.

I'm new to the game and trying to finish the tutorial but it takes 5 or more minutes to start up the map. If there isn't a fix I will probably have to drop the game. Maybe go back to broodwar or something.

Shouldn't take more than about 10 seconds.

Disable ASUS GameFirst if you have it

Make sure you have multi-threading enabled in game Settings>Server

Make sure you have installed the very latest graphic drivers

The intel assistant program wouldn't run. or maybe it was running but wasn't showing me anything. similar to what happens to steam sometimes, didn't really trust it so I got rid of it. Anyway the game opens okay and the tutorial opens fast but it still takes way longer then it should to play. Especially since thier are only two planets. Sins of a Solar Empire and Stellaris can start games in a fraction of the time. Maybe I will try playing it again later.

Are you running intel integrated graphics? I'm not sure about the new chips but the older ones arn't really up to Pa. That could be your problem if the game is slowing down badly...

Yes. I'm using a laptop so their isn't really anything I can do about that.

The recommendation is to always go directly to the manufacture's site.

Also, go to Settings > Server and make sure multi-threading is turned on.
