I never played Ashes, but i heard only bad things.
Try Titan first if you want try something other.

If skirmish is your thing, then yes. If you skirmish in SUPCOM you're probably familiar with the Sorian AI, and Sorian developed the AI for this game. There's also the Queller AI mod which I developed that will give you an even tougher experience. And none of the AI difficulties in skirmish cheat.

So yes, if skirmish is your thing this game has a lot going for it. The underlying AI engine in PA is just fundamentally leaps and bounds beyond what SUPCOM offered. There were even further AI improvements in the latest patch and will be more in the future I have no doubt, and Queller is still actively developed too.

The Legion Expansion mod, which introduces a second faction, is also fully supported in skirmish.

I have spent hundreds of hours in single player in this game. Can't be beat at this sale price. I paid full price years ago and I don'r regret a minute of it.

The AI in PA is great and fun to play against. There are tons of maps and AIs have different difficulty levels / personalities.

Absolutly! I'm a huge Sup com fan (FAF) and I love this game a lot also. There are loads of mods/maps to download and the AI is better and dosn't need to cheat to give a good challenge (a la AIX in sup com). I also have ashes of the singularity and allthough it IS a good game in it's own right it just not on the same level as Sup com or Pa at least imho.

Certainly worth it for SP Skirmishes its hella fun though managing multiple battles across multiple planets with Land, Sea, Air, Orbital, Deathstars and comets with rockets attached is insane lol.

Search for Quitchs AI mods for SP and his other he did also thats boosts the AI in Galactic campaign games.

This and SCFA with FAF and LOUD mods are the best for sure.
Ashes while can be fun is mediocre and bare bones in comparison imho.

I bought them all. As a SupCom player, felt right at home. I think Supreme Commander is superior, but this one gets really close and that is a superb achievement on its own. Maybe with Planetary Annihilation 2, they will get closer to a real spiritual successor, if not farther just like Bayonetta did to Devil May Cry.
