Playing with a friend ?

Hi there,
So I've been trying for a couple days to invite a friend on a custom game, we both have the same version of the game, can see the invites etc, but no matter who the host is, we haven't managed to connect to each other even once. Does anyone know how to work around that ?

You need to switch the lobby to friends only and then either invite them, wait for them to join once they see your lobby.

Or if there are not in your friends list then you can set your lobby to public with a password.

We did, we are in friendlist, he sees my lobby and receives my invites, the issue is that we fail to actually connect. We get the "creating planet simulation" or something like that, and then it's just waiting and "remaining attempts : 4, 3, 2, 1" and that's how far we get... and my internet connection is more than decent, if this is the issue. Maybe it's just a matter of patience... Thanks anyway for taking the time to reply, mate.

That's a firewall / antivirus issue.
